One of the ants might be causing a short circuit by touching some components. Try cleaning it and test again. Disassemble the entire computer and thoroughly clean it from top to bottom using contact cleaner and isopropyl alcohol.
Get some Terro liquid ant bait while you’re at it and declare exterminatus on the nest
