Back when publishers gave a damn and put work into games vs just shitting out the beta on a server as full release and asking more $$ then they use to.

Where’s your other Ultima boxes??
Good taste!
FD4L
I have many of the same boxes on a shelf by my pc.

RARLiViD

One of my minor gaming regrets is holding onto very few of those boxes in my own collection. I’ve kept all the manuals I could, but boy, looking at those big, colorful boxes hits me with some real nostalgia.
Anachronox. The west’s take on a JRPG. Damn good.
The first Civilization. Even back then, it had a powerful “one more turn” compulsion.
Panzer Dragoon. I had almost forgotten about Sega’s Saturn ports back in the day. Old favorite of mine from the Saturn’s debut.
Black and White. What a unique spin on the RTS.
Wizardry 8, the finale of the original series. I’m not old enough to have played the majority of the Wizardry series, but when reading the manual, there was a little message by the developers about importing your saved games from the older titles. “Thank you.” I felt that.
Ultima…… a legendary CRPG series, one of the first MMO’s ever, now just a memory. Imagine… imagine if Larian studios was granted this IP.
Blue Binder. I mean…. what more can even be said? It was blue, and it bound us all….
I was more of a Computer Gaming World man, especially their earlier works. Well, cheers.

Wow! You got some great ones that had slipped my mind! Dungeon Siege… Black & White… HEXEN (Someone should definitely remake this. A real banger)

Man…I wish Warcraft had come back. I hear it’s great granchild now has….pandas?? Like there was a race of sapient Pandas living in the same world as the Humans, completely unbeknownst to the rest of the world.
I don’t know when I consider the franchise to have been dead, but it was probably the moment it became an online game. This, however, is the moment the shark was thoroughly jumped.

I remember having my allowance and headding to the computer store and looking at the boxes picking up the latest game. Borrowing my friend’s games. And getting demo cd.
Now everything is sad and online….

Bort_Bortson
Your original GTA box, did you find out about the game on one of those 100 demos on 1 CD things or? Also where did you get it?
My dad had to order it for me out of a catalogue from New York state since none of the stores in town could dare carry it.
