How rare are people who have no Chrome? Like what is considered full organic? Do the monks through out the game have zero implants if I remember correctly one of them pays you in a side quest and his eyes glow? Is it no cybernetics or does stuff like the implants in their head not count? To what degree is someone considered chrome free? At what age do people start getting implants? Does everything require an implant for making payments, phone calls, driving and etc or are people still able to do things “analogue” like giving cash or using a phone?

Theres a side job where a monk is drugged and chromed against his will, he is devastated and ashamed and tasks you with saving his brother from the same fate. One of those “no good deed” kind of deals. Damned if you do damned if you dont.

I think a lot of basic chrome is installed at a young age by the parents like it would only natural since chrome isn’t a risk

Why did you give money to monks? I think it is offensive to them.

He isn’t organic. His eyes turn blue when accepting the payment.

  5. This guy has cybernetics though? If you give him money his eye glow just like everybody else.

How rare are people without a smartphone and any social network account whatsoever these days? That’s about the same order of magnitude for fully organic people in the Cyberpunk world. Certain implants are so widespread, useful and cheap (like subdermal chips for payment and verification or personal ports) – even some little kids have those. Sure, there are people with far fewer chrome parts, but complete lack of chrome is a huge disadvantage in this world. Only the most destitute and people with really strong believes go down that road.

  7. I think basic implants like that neuro thing when you accept calls and receiving Eddies and that link in your wrist is compulsory for everybody, everything else is optional.

There is a pretty good chance basic cyberware is common: eyes for augmented reality, a jack to connect (notice how most cyberpunk setttings completely didn’t see wireless coming ? ).

Limbs would probably be the domain of reparative surgery, and everything usable as a weapon would be severely limited. You’d have to be a high ranking corpo or a runner to get one of those.
