I never buy Triple A games until they’ve been out for a while and gone through the public testing them and all the updates. Especially for $70.

Just started it. Game is neat. I did not expect a GOTY but I just find myself curious to keep playing it, keep discovering it, story and characters are interesting enough to keep pursuing the MSQ.
It has flaws but I’m legit impressed and it’s quite better than I expected (the world building, vehicles and characters are legit well-done) however:
* Too much stealth missions
* I’d really have loved more RPG elements, a levelling-up system, more equipments etc. that’s subjective I love A-RPG a lot
* I am doing the game in default difficulty, like all game I start, but it’s too easy, mostly because the AI is..uneven to say the least,
I purchased it after seeing few twitch playthrough to make up my mind, and also I liked Division coop quite a lot from the same studio.
There are tons of resources youtube/twitch to make up your own mind about it. Reddit is weird about this game but Ubisoft brought that reputation to themselves, not surprising and nothing to be angry about. I just think that if a game is good I should say it’s good and not just pretend it’s not to karma farm or something.

I watched a Star Wars yesterday and today felt like playing a Star Wars game. Saw this game came out today and said, āfuck it, Iāll try it outā. My experience so far has been great. Iāve had one bug where I managed to get a guard halfway through a door, though I was shooting him in the knee repeatedly trying to make that happenā¦ soā¦
ETA: I just gave a treat to a wild Gushiro on the moon Toshara and now I have like ten of them following me around. Fuck the haters. This game is fun.
ETA 2: Oh no. Iāve fucked up. I just read their description, apparently theyāre a sanitation risk. They followed me into what appears to be some kind of food pantry and I think Iāve ruined a family business forever.

If you like Star Wars (especially Han Solo and the criminal underworld of the franchise) this game is amazing. If you don’t, then it’s a neat serviceable Ubisoft game. It accomplishes what it set out to do: cater to Star Wars fans, which there is no lack of.

Everyone bitching over this game makes me laugh. Minus some issues on PC because I was trying to run it on way too strong graphics. I’ve sunk 10 hours in this and am having a frigging blast with it.

I just love that some animator at Massive created that silly half-assed takedown animation where she gingerly bonks the dudes head/helmet on the ground…. then sat up from his desk patting himself on the back thinking “job well done!” and proceeded to collect his pay check.

I don’t get the hate this game is getting at all. Playing on PC it has been remarkably stable with some relatively minor framerate drops on a 3070ti, the gameplay is fun, the open world is big but isn’t completely overwhelming, I’m enjoying the missions/story and I’m happy to play more. Is it ‘perfect’ – hell no. Is it a great game regardless? Absolutely.

I kind of miss the day of gaming where, so long as the bug wasn’t game breaking, it was just kind of laughed at and ignored. Fallout New Vegas had some hilarious bugs, but you could still play the game just fine so nobody got super pissed about them. There’s a great video online where the main doctor dude that does character creation just has his head spin in a complete 360 the whole time he’s talking to you.
Hell, half of these clips are just ragdoll physics doing what it’s always done for the past 20 years or so. I don’t know why people care so much. Do people really see ragdoll physics acting crazy and think “this game is ruined!”? Every time I see it, I just think it’s fucking hilarious. It’s not like it happens to the majority of enemies either. This sort of ragdoll goofiness is all over the place in gaming.
For real though, there are so many games out there that people absolutely love that are full of bugs if you’re actively trying to find them.
tbh, I just kind of wish I could get a good representation for how good this game is. Despite the post itself suggesting it’s full of bugs, every time I see one of these posts, the ONLY people who have actually played the game are responding saying it’s not very buggy at all. So is this just people dogpiling on a handful of buggy clips, or would I be risking a buggy, unplayable mess with my purchase?

Kind of regret it so far. I’ll keep trying it for now as I’m still a bit early.. but the stealth system is absolutely atrocious. Maybe one of the worst AAA attempts at stealth I’ve ever seen. And it’s, for some reason, central to the game. It doesn’t make any sense. Star Wars is an action franchise. I don’t understand what they were thinking. I guess it’s my fault for not researching it more before I bought it but man I’m disappointed.

This game is a fun Star Wars game where you get to roleplay as a smuggler. I was worried we would get the Ubisoft special where we are collecting a million side objects for completion, but thatās not the case.
Overall my only gripe is that I really am not a fan of the main character so far and the story interactions with some of the npcs arenāt very meaningful. One of the people I met in game literally says āThey donāt work with off worldersā then proceeds to hand me a fetch quest after Kay says she wants to upgrade her speederā¦ā¦..
Still fun.
