How tf can people defend this dogshit game reveal we got in the slightest?

  2. EvenTale4632

And can we get these damn radios out of our ears and have some actual storytelling and direction out of the map itself please?

  3. Nickster2042

    Wow a factory with blue

Is THE ZOMBIES FEEL just darkness or

Or is it when you look around in slow motion and don’t sprint around and have no camo😂

If we could play liberty falls I can recreate the same thing of your giant vid and take in the sights and sounds

  4. CelticCov

I really need this post to trend cause it really does prove all these defenders wrong using “casual map “ as a excuse

  5. livelifeless

Holy fuck the game isn’t even out, can we wait another month and try again, yeah it looks stupid. But we only saw streamers play it for what 20 minutes?

  6. SadRepresentative551

So one video is a Zombies mode and othere one is a Warzone mix up shi.
    Guess whats what? Lol

Facts. Its unreal how much the bar has been beyond lowered.

Nobody will say it bc they love Treyarch but fuck this new zombie dev team. Do these guys even play the game or did they look at it and say let’s change every single aspect and mechanic.

  8. jenkumboofer

not a “launch map” if you had to additionally pay for it

  9. rinrinstrikes

the moment he said alpha team i just went UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH like a 5 year old kid. BO6 is truly making me relive my childhood <3

People are finally waking up to the absolute rubbish Cold War started, uninspired, soulless, warzonified garbage.

And to think I had any hope of bo6 being different? It was obvious they were never going to leave the Cold War directionBut hey, treyarch just needed development time right guys?

  11. MacpunchKO

Anyone who cant tell the decline in quality like, genuinely is either a kid or needs their head checked……

  12. gman3712

We glazing The Giant now? The remake of a remake of a WaW map? You can dislike Liberty falls but the giant is a fuckin C tier map at best

  13. I-Am-The-Uber-Mesch

This is just depressing, no hate if you like the new map but for me it’s just bad, atmosphere completely absent, genuinely feels like a campaign/multiplayer map…

  14. tryingtosmile5

People even trying to compare liberty falls to the giant is the saddest attempt at gaslighting i’ve ever seen

  15. gazebo-placebo

Its been this way since at least bo4, but at least that game attempted to have the old style. BO4 played like blackout just like it plays like warzone now.

Zombies is dead. We arent getting anything close to what we had in the past unless there are remakes of the old games.

Zombies in cold war and beyond feels like a mobile game or something. It hasnt felt like its own thing in years.

  16. Krakenwerk

Even Alpha omega had more atmosphere and vibe. And that map took place at day time and did not look that washed out.

I really don’t understand how they had 4 years to create a unique looking hud and decided to paste the Warzone hud into zombies. The design team should be fired and I mean all of them.

  18. LiotaTheRealist

Erm ackshually you should be happy with this soulless war zone slop! Clearly ur just nostalgic!1!1

  19. I can’t understand how people can look at liberty falls and think thats zombies. It deadass looks like warzone and zombies thrown in it.

I miss the aesthetic zombies used to have back in waw to bo3.

It’s crazy how much of a difference music makes I obviously noticed the tone but the lack of music is just blatant and if it’s there it’s too quiet to convey the situation they’re in IE a zombie apocalypse bo6 just seems like a standard extraction mission esque level

  21. Sainex546

I think we need to realize that nothing lasts forever and move on. Zombies has been dead for years now.

  22. Sulfuras26

To each their own, but I cannot stand map markers or in-game guides that hold the player’s hand through literally every conceivable aspect of the map. Half the point of zombies is to build up your own intelligence in each map. It’s a progressive rise in skill until you reach a point where you’re kicking ass and taking names… but if you splash an annoyingly large diamond icon with a star in it that says “PACK A PUNCH HERE!!!!” or some shit, it’s lost all the joy of discovery in zombies.

And because for some odd reason Treyarch cannot separate themselves from this bizarre need to have all their new maps be boring as all hell, I don’t know if we’ll ever see a genuinely fun/challenging map again. It seems years off and idrk how much gas is left in the CoD tank at this point.

It’s not “hating” to call out these boring parts of design. Making the game unbelievably easier to appeal to the widest audience possible off the bat is a betrayal of Zombies’ core identity… I used to suck at the game mode, and I assume literally everyone else had the same experience too. But the more you put into the game, the more it gave back in fun and inventive ways. Now it’s like they’ve completely foregone that soft skill check and have subsisted it with dopamine rushes of UI notifications and sparkly particle effects and HUD outlines on dropped items and weapon rarity… it’s not fun or interesting. It just feels regurgitated.

Let it be noted that Bo3 and Bo4 has its fair share of missteps, the latter had both a bad launch (due to bugs) and a face plant near the end.

However, what most people here forget is that video games are a form of art. Even when we have space aliens, dragons, and cycles (with the many plotholes), you still felt like you were experiencing someones vision. Whether it was Blundell’s, Zielinski’s or someone in-between, it had character.

**Most people are okay with the new standards is because… it’s a camo and leveling gameplay loop now… as if that can’t also be true with a strong visionary/story behind it?**

Yet, as with Cold War, we once again get the “serious military personal speaks through a radio using military slang” theme. Treyarch was known for NOT being the COD with a modern warfare feel.

  24. mattadeth

Liberty Balls so bad it completely deflated any enthusiasm I had for bo6

  25. thegodlypenguin2

I’m sorry, but anybody who compares The Giant to Liberty Falls is delusional. The Giant has more atmosphere in the first spawn-in frame than Liberty Falls has in the entire map. Creepy art direction matters, and Liberty Falls has next to none (minus the PaP room, which is fine).

  26. Enigma_Green

Well it’s a change in direction, yeah the other way from the home of what zombies was.

Even just the start of Giant you can feel the tension and atmosphere….start on this map, you feel nothing it’s empty.

Seems like zombies is an afterthought now.
