I don’t trust CDPR anymore. There are those that believe they’re back in the good books after they “fixed” CP2077, but I still have a sour taste in my mouth after that release. Yes, they improved it, but it still wasn’t the game they were hyping before it went to market; a highly customizable, open world, in-depth-RPG mechanics game. Instead, we got a very narrative driven story with the most lifeless and boring open world game with very shallow RPG essence.
Even if you wholeheartedly believe they did a complete 180 and ended up making a genuinely great game, it still doesn’t excuse the way they released it. They absolutely knew it was a broken mess but crumbled under the shareholder pressure. Who is to say it won’t happen again? It’s all about money at the end of the day, and they know they can just keep spinning the hype wheel every few years because people forget.
