I bought few games from seller "World_of_games" on g2a. Few weeks later I got a message from steam, that all the games that I bought from this seller got revoked from my account. I contacted g2a support and gave them all the evidence, and they said that the keys were good at the moment I purchased them, so it's not they problem that the games got revoked soon after XD
Idk how to even comment that
Don't ever buy anything on g2a

And that’s the risk with gray market websites we all know off 🙂

    nothing is free

I mean, this has been going on for years. Some smaller developer, can’t remember the name, even came out and said it was better for them if people just pirated their games instead of using G2A.

Because when keys are bought with stolen credit cards the developer had to deal with charge back fees. So it cost them more money than outright piracy.

This has been widely reported on ever since these grey markets sprung up. You’ve really got nobody else to blame but yourself for not doing the tiniest bit of research before parting with your cash.

i thought it was well known that g2a were as shady as shit

There was a quote from a dev somewhere that they would rather you sail the seven seas for their games than buy them on g2a so this is not surprising

This is why I buy my keys via PayPal with a credit card that way I’ve got 3 layers of protection

    1. The store support
    2. PayPal dispute
    3. Credit card payment protection

It happened to me over 6 years ago, I bought a Windows 10 Pro key, turned out the key was acquired fraudulently and G2A refused to do anything about it. I had to fight for 3 months with PayPal to give me the refund. I’ve never visited the site since.

File a chargeback for everything, if you can

  11. It’s 2024, if you still buy from G2A is totally on you

“Guys, the money laundering site I bought stolen property from scammed me!”

Ha I remember when they drained my bank account whenever I bought a $10 gift card to pay my friend.

They charged me 10 $10 gift cards, and claimed I used them…

This is why we have a word for shady businesses like G2A….

    FUCK G2A

I’ve only ever heard bad things about G2A, I do however use CDK, and both times that I had an issue, they resolved it quickly

I thought this was common knowledge since many years

This has been known for at least a decade or so. G2A is essentially doing the “reverse Amazon”. Amazon just refunds everything because the legal procedures etc. aren’t worth it for them. G2A just does nothing unless they are forced to because buyers having problems with sellers don’t actually matter to them.

And as you can see with this response here, they don’t even care that Steam removed all keys from the seller (which clearly indicates some sort of shady stuff going on). Otherwise, they would have at least mentioned something about reviewing the seller. But instead, they actually imply that this exact thing happening on their platform is totally fine.

Why does anybody still use g2a? Just go to cdkeys or instantgaming.
