"Microsoft’s Xbox controller (and its souped-up Xbox Elite variant) is considered the de facto standard for PC gaming. But after nearly 30 years, it’s not surprising that some prefer the PlayStation pad.

And for those that do, here’s some good news: the newest version of the PlayStation Accessories app offers far better support for the DualSense Edge, Sony’s $200 “pro” controller for the PlayStation 5. You can download the new app here." – PC World

  1. No way in hell I’m buying a $200 controller from Sony or M$ until they get some got dam Hall Effect sticks on them.

It’s a great controller. It’s unfortunate that people are still dealing with stick drift. I guess I’ve been lucky.

$200 controller with only 2 back buttons and no hall sticks. Brick

Controller that has a built in stick drift, falls apart if you look at it, and costs 200?

    Lmao tell me another.

I’ve had mine since launch, finally had to replace the stick modules because of drift. I’ve been mostly back on MnK but still content with the purchase of my edge.

I really don’t get why every time controllers come up, everyone has to talk about poor quality. I’ve been using the same Dualshock 4 for like 5 years now? And it’s still in perfect condition.

  7. What about the normal Dualsense? It has way too many problems connecting wirelessly. I have a problem where it just stops connecting via Bluetooth. It connects once and works great until you disconnect and try to reconnect again. So the only solution is to reset it every time you want to connect it to a pc.

First parties pushing these 200 dollar controllers when you can get third party hall effect for under 40…

FYI, dsx app also allows creating custom profiles for back pedals and stick curves etc., but one thing this Sony app allows that dsx doesn’t is changing the mapping of regular buttons.

    No one’s buying this garbage.
It costs 200USD, I can buy 3 8BitDo Ultimates with that money.

Besides the 8BitDo Ultimate, there are a lot of other options for excellent controllers that have Hall Effect Sticks, and cost a fraction of what Sony’s asking for this junk.

Accessory wise, the current generation is a mess for console users.
Sony is doing their best to block 3rd party controllers, while selling overoriced controllers that off themselves in a short time period.
Microsoft is blocking unlicensed accesories, and storage upgrades are overpriced because they insisted on using a specific Western Digital 2230 PCIe 4.0 x2 M.2 Drive inside of a CFE adapter.
