I got this kit about 1.5 years ago with my 7700x from MicroCenter. The initially batch had both deflective. RMA'd them. I've read multiple other say theirs were defective. The new pair I got ran good for a year, and then another one died. It died so hard, the PC no longer booted with it inside. XMP settings, no manually OC on these. Replaced them with new ones yesterday. I asked if they can give me a free upgrade this time to the new revised CL30 or CL32 variety using different dies but priced around the same, since it happened before. Today my PC failed to cold boot, even though it was fine yesterday. I actually used these in my brothers Ryzen 7600, and they died in that. He also had cold boot issues. I used some other kits in my PC using better dies. Hynix M I think.
But now that I've had to RMA these I put into his PC twice, I've decided to not put him through any more torture and try them in my PC. I'm getting the feeling I'm going to have to do some manual tunning, and settle for 5800MT/s. Maybe I'll try to lower timings slightly.
On top of that I wonder if the BIOS patches that limited SOC voltage to 1.3v after CPUs started melting has anything to do with this. Maybe these modules were barely designed to hit those frequencies before the BIOS limits, and now they can't hit their target anymore??
