Cosmetically it's in amazing condition. 1 down, 4 to go. NES, Sega Genesis, and PS1 & 2 next. The PS3 is still my favorite console, a massive technical leap from it's previous gen. I had a first year 20gb model that was heavily used for games and TV, but it sadly died in the YLOD in 2012. I played the most games on it. The PS2 was the first I bought with my own money, sadly it got stolen years later. I think I'll be getting the original Red Dead Redemption to play. Also getting the itch to replay Resistance: Fall of Man.
I guess I'm getting old and nostalic

Sony took a big risk waiting a year to put the BluRay in their next system, but it paid off big and they won the format war because of it. The 7th gen was an amazing era

Good luck finding them all reasonably priced! I’m not fully sure I agree that BluRay helped win the generation. If anything I’d say there are arguments it bloated the cost of the system and really allowed the 360 to get a foot hold. I’d still kill to peer into a universe where Sony followed the PS2 up with a cheaper $300-$400 console focused on games. Spent a lot on 2nd and 3rd party acquisitions and just bloated their game library. We were in a bad recession when the PS3 hit. Part of the Wii doing so well was its price. I’d love to see what a cheap PS3 focused on games over tech would have done

Would you like to play “Fortress of Narzod”?
-No sorry, I can’t afford to have to buy a Vectrex

Wow ! I wish you luck because some are very rare and even those which aren’t have seen their price scaling up like a rocket over the sky recently.

  8. man, I had one of the launch versions that played PS2 games. Makes me sad it died and I don’t have it anymore

We really need to stop body shaming electronics they are beginning to have feelings too you know. Also if they want to have their internals or externals swapped out they should have the right too, I don’t care what generation they came from.

  10. I think I must be a borderline hoarder because I’ve never sold a single gaming related item I’ve ever owned. Most of my old stuff is just sitting in totes in my storage closet.
