So something I’ve been confused about with No Man’s Sky still after playing it a ton:
Are the structures that players built persistent with other online players just randomly? Because the only structures I’ve ever seen have been ones I’ve intentionally gone to knowing another player. Like could I just potentially happen upon this planet and find this pier without ever interacting with you or knowing it was there?
Like I know the odds are just absurdly large, but I think it would be really cool to just be wandering around on a planet and find this beautifully hand crafted pier set up for no apparent reason.
This game makes some of the coolest scenery, but there’s no point in doing anything, the rewards feel hollow for some reason, and it just lacks direction for the player

It been a few years since I played. Is it possible to build a hobbit house from Lord of the Rings now? When I tried every time I come back to my home or boot up the game again the ground would tend to “grow” back through my building.
Well, nice lightwork at the pier, i guess? 😃
