Ok so I have a 10y old pc. It was bad but was barely enough to get stuff done. It has failed a number of times and the cost of its repairs were almost equal to half its price. When it was brought it was expensive with i3 3rd Gen processor 4gb ram and 1tb hdd. Fast forward to lockdown I told my mum that I desperately needed a pc as that one had failed yet again and my tablet that remained as my only possible way to do online classes was malfunctioning. She said a pc was delivered to us. And behold this piece of trash. i3 3rd or 2nd gen somehow again. Exactly same configuration and somehow it was worse the ram's max clock speed was slower than the default one of the other. It's only redemption was the fact that the other one was failing bad and it's never hdd was better. It sat at the bottom of my desk till the other one failed. Now I tried to transfer my old graphics card and then noticed this. It was nvidias gt 710. The mechanic who took care of our computer bought this when I specifically said to bring the 1050 model. My luck with PC's has been trash so far. I was planning to buy a high end gaming laptop but my mum won't buy it but ya I do understand why as they are notoriously difficult to repair around here.

  1. A good pc would have cost around 50-70k in our currency. Since it was bought we spend around 10-20k in repairs of that pc

The lack of fans isn’t a problem, the specs are. The PSU fan is enough to exhaust heat from an old i3 and a 710.

Is that HDD even screwed in, or does it just sit on the bottom of the case?

A *mechanic* is probably not the right person to repair a computer.

Yeah I would recommend you search around a bit for yourself rather than relying on a random mechanic and “luck” to get you a good PC lol.

You’re being scammed and happily running back to the guy scamming you every time.

Get your PCs from someone else. That simply has not been built properly. If it came from the same place as the other PC they’re just ripping you off, dont use them again.

And by the looks of it, doesn’t need one.

    *Rock voice*: it doesn’t matter.
