I’ll never understand the crybabyism about making/linking accounts
personally i hate having to create dev/publisher ID to play the game on steam, this includes EA, ubisoft and others
however i have created all of the accounts and have all the launchers installed and i keep registering for new IDs
for the people wanting to know the game’s name: it’s inzoi.

Same shit with TDU Solar Crown, played not the demo but won’t buy the full game just for that reason

you can literally click close a few times and hit new game and play without linking – the linking is for sharing creations with other players
The Sims 4 does the same thing, your point? At least it is advertised before the fact rather than after (cough cough Helldivers 2)
i really wanted to play overwatch since a long time. finally went there to buy it turned out it’s free now,go more excited and then after downloading it demanded my phone number. Well i guess I am not going to install the game ever again

For people complaining, there is a whole social network-like community system built into the game. Players can share their creations (asset/characters/outfits designs, etc.) on Canvas (the in-game “social network” platform) for other players to like, comment and you can also use other players’ published assets and use them for yourself, there’s also a follow system so you can follow your favorite creators (other players).
So I guess creating a separate account to use all of this is needed. There are quick sign up options using other social network accounts for the lazy people.
At least they’re not forcing another shitty launcher down your throat.

You’re not missing much, you can only create one character, won’t let you save to create multiple ones.
A lot of you are misunderstanding what this is. The game is **NOT** trying to link to a Steam account or allow users to login via Steam. You sign in to Steam directly for those and Steam has APIs to link back. This game is displaying the Steam QR code and asking for the 2fac from the Steam app so they can log into your Steam account themselves. No different than a scam login page letting hackers into your account. But the game company pinkie promises to keep it safe and never do anything bad with it.
Because Steam forbids using their systems to access other people’s accounts, this could run afoul of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act for unauthorized access of a “protected” computer system.
Thanks to PUBG i already had one. Brings nice benefits and Events for it and support my favorite PUBG Partner while spending ingame.
