I think it would be cool if Microsoft allowed people to re-download the blades dashboard and any other dashboard they released too.
It was the best Xbox dashboard for sure. I’ve liked every PS UI iteration since the PS3 better though.

Loved the blades. I had a sweet background with rain drops too. And the satisfying whoosh when flipping thru them. Once MS switched it to the mii crap it was a sign of their upcoming downward trend sadly.
I was impressed that when I tried a Switch back in 2020 for a week it was worse ui than consoles released decades ago. It’s like they have learned zero from any previous generation.

Absolutely! The Blades dashboard was a classic. The nostalgia hits hard. A comeback would be epic. Imagine the sleek design with modern features. Xbox, bring back the Blades! Time to dust off my old console.
When I see this, I just think of Halo 3
This is a great example of when software and hardware are designed with a look and feel together. It’s very Apple esc in that way.

While blades is very nostalgic for me, it was very clunky and not as intuitive or modern.

So fucking OG. Goated console. Brings me back to grade 11-12 ripping Halo with the boys.
This, and the 360 in general was peak Xbox in my opinion.

This was peak Xbox to me. The dashboard was gamer focused. Simple, quick, and to the point. Loved the many themes. I wish we got something like this again because I dislike the current Xbox dashboard especially compared to the blades here.

A UI so sharp, you could shave with it.
I *loved* buying a USB and plugging it into the front of my xbox and having all my music in the media tab
360 really had some great features.
How we all cheered when Microsoft updated it. “Like a new console!” They said. “More functionality!” They said.
