I once found a stack of 5 hdd’s in the forest (plus a really good Slot 1 motherboard) when I was like 14 years old. I cleaned them, dried them and tested them. Four of them where dead but one madlad hdd. A Samsung Spinpoint 40 gb survived and was working (but data got corrupted, but after formatting it was all fine). I still have that hdd somewhere as I couldn’t throw away this hero hdd.
The slot 1 motherboard also works, and I still have it in my retro game PC. I had to do some creativity for the BIOS but it all fcking worked.

Use a wire brush to thoroughly clean all the bad sectors

Remember to dip in in rice after you’re done. Cooked rice, obviously.

No soap?
Don’t forget to use a scourer for max cleaning.

Got to use soap to really scrub those adult photos and videos, just like mama used to do in your mouth for swear words.
Wth are you doing? Add isopropyl alcohol, water alone won’t clean it.
You should keep it powered and have the plate spin while cleaning, soap and dust will distribute better due to centrifugal force
