It wouldn’t surprise me if we do see Ava Jansen in BO6 it depends on if they want to do time travel.
But I found this to be pretty interesting that we look at the last shot of what we’re going to see in Liberty Falls 👀

Yes, and I hope so, but used sparingly and carefully. I think it’s a key part of what makes the Zombies story what it is, but I don’t want it to get too messy again.
It’d be pretty interesting if she went back in time, and somehow changed the past so the Requiem team never died. Then there’d be another paradox storyline like bo3, and they could go another route with it. However I think they’re gonna save what happened to her until BO7, seeing as it’s gonna take place in 2030.
I can’t believe I’m seeing all these comments act like the confusing nature of OG zombies wasn’t a huge part of what made it so cool. I loved that the story could arbitrarily take place in whatever time period was needed without it really addressing it.
Time travel hasn’t been introduced in the Dark Aether. So going off what we know, there’s no evidence of time travel occurring as of this point
I’ve seen so many comments on things of people saying she time traveled, but I still see 0 proof or reason to believe that she did. Like what says she time traveled?

Would it be silly? Absolutely, but while I’ve enjoyed the Dark Aether story I do think a lot is lost with a more ‘grounded’ setting, especially when it comes to maps.
Like, I actually really enjoy CWZ’s maps, but the aesthetic of maps like IX, Mob and Moon just aren’t as probable with something that has to fit in with a more ‘realistic’ setting.

Not looking at the picture but they better. That is what made the previous games before Cold War so damn awesome and interesting. I’m all about sci-fi and mysterious vibes. I’m trying to think of the proper term to explain it as opposed to CW and after in difference to WAW-BO4. Maybe more lore based?
I guess Unique as plain as that may sound to describe it but that is what WAW-BO4 had. They were more unique, and original feeling. Some other games Exo Zombies for example were more so normal places with less rememberable environments. I mean a government facility in difference to say Shangri-La. That my example. Far different vibes. Just that “WHOA!!!” factor compared to just a “wow”.
I would like time travel just because I think it would be nice to stick with our set crew regardless of when the game takes place.
Honestly, no. Time travel is a huge concept to introduce now in the Dark Aether, especially going off of previous games where it is stated that though time progresses very slowly in the DA, it’s still a linear path. It would throw all established story beats out of wack if time travel was suddenly a thing, because then you’d have to question why Kortifex or Zykov, or any of the previous Archons never came into possession of such power.
I also believe that MWZ’s ending is not going to tie super heavily into BO6, but BO6 itself is going to set up the concept of the Shadowsmiths and why they are after Jansen. Liberty Falls itself would also shed some light on why that location is such a big deal that it remains dangerous years after the 1991 outbreak.

For those of you who don’t know, after the first crisis event there was only one universe in the DC multiverse, after a few years they brought back the alt universes
My theory is that weaver and his crew pulled a “doctor strange” and sacrificed themselves (beggining cutscene of mwz) knowing that it was best for the the events that are going to happen in liberty falls.
Perhaps they sacrificed themselves so maxis could bring ava back to liberty fall and help with whatever went down there.
Reality’s though closed off are reaching back from beyond the void.

Oh 100% Time travel will be used in Black Ops 6. These developers have no idea how to make a cohesive enough story without relying on confusing time travel to help circumvent the challenges….

I think, if anything, it will work like how they handled it in the netflix show Dark.
A time travel story could be better than BO3’s story if done well. I can see us traveling to easter eggs from the past and having been the reason certain things happened the way they did; and even explain things we still don’t have complete answers for. Example: We (traveling through time) leave the time-bomb in the mystery box in Buried because of its importance and effect on not only the Buried EE but also the overall story. Not the best example but you can probably see where im going w/ this.
the aether story is already a complete mess, they might as well have fun with it.
If there’s time travel I could see us getting another map with a celebrity crew playing themselves like Call of the Dead.
The last few CODs had celebrity operators playing themselves (Snoop Dog, Nikki Minaj, etc.) so if we get a few celebrity operators again I could see them also doing voice lines for a zombies map set in the current year.

Yeah fuck it why not? Retcon OPDB/MWIII partially in a way that will let the story continue with Requiem/Eddie/Sam/Omega. They’re the only real characters we’ve had from CW/VG/MWIII so having their story ends before it really starts doesn’t make much sense and seeing the hype that is building for BO6Z it’d be dumb of Treyarch to get rid of them this soon
Basically only the characters mentioned in CW matter, everyone already ignores VG/MWZ
