Hey all, I was watching the Future Games Show this evening and something caught my eye, "Lost Skies". The more I look into it, the more it looks EXACTLY like Worlds Adrift that never made it out of early access.

It seems almost like they just updated the graphics a bit and added a different gameplay loop. The worst part is that Worlds Adrift sold founders packs and those who bought it ended up with no playable game as the servers were online only and they refused to add dedicated servers.

It seems to me like the game was sold off and is now being rebranded and sold to consumers a second time. Take a look for yourselves. What do you think?

The game wasn’t even sold off, its the same developer, so yah, it is just a reskin of Worlds Adrift.

Both games are made by bossa studios. It’s just their own game again with light puzzles and wingsuits

  3. > Lost Skies is a co-op PvE survival game inspired by our earlier title, Worlds Adrift, a sandbox PvP MMO. While they share the same universe, Lost Skies is a very different game, carefully conceived as an expansive experience best shared by friends playing together.

That’s because it’s a re-imagining of Worlds Adrift by the same studio. With the help of Humble Games, they now have the budget to make improvements and upgrade the visuals.

Instead of trying to be a SpatialOS MMO with PvEvP, it’s now a single player game with optional co-op. This is a good thing because SpatialOS was giving them trouble.
