You forgot piracy where you just launch them with their shortcut on the desktop
AAKphoenix
GOG (the purple circle is GOG Galaxy; a truly optional game launcher) is the best. You actually own the game, it is as close to having a physical copy of the game as possible (without the need of a CD product key).
Uncanny_Apparition
Really, really wish there were more games on GOG.
That or just bring back physical media…
SubjectiveMouse
GFN isn’t a game launcher, and not a game store. You buy the games on any other platform so it can’t be worse than steam

In Blizzard’s defense, they never deleted anyone’s old games.
I still play Starcraft and Warcraft 3 using my original CD-keys that were printed on the jewel cases I bought 20 years ago. I play War3 Reforged without ever having to pay for it. (I just can’t access certain features in game, like the HD graphics)
I know the complaint mostly relates to Overwatch, but it’s basically the same story there. I purchased Overwatch 1 when it was pre-beta, and I still have access to overwatch 2 using that original OW1 beta key.

Why is riot games on here? They make free to play games?
TheJuicyLemon_
Whatever the top launcher is, you still don’t own the games. It’s all based on what the studio wants and they could easily take their games off that launcher. Same as steam
Edit: I stand corrected so the downvotes aren’t necessary.
Biggu5Dicku5
Very accurate… at least for now, while Gaben is still running Valve…
Ok-Weather7707
You forgot Origin, or did it fall off the bottom.
Locke_and_Load
I would definitely not call the Steam terms “favorable”, they’re just the least shit out of most of them.
Gym_Nut
Gog 2.0 can also be linked to other accounts and used as one launcher to launch all your games.
Top row is really the same as the second row. Any game you own is a license to play that game. Even with physical media it can technically be revoked at any time.
Rynex
Launchbox lets you consolidate all your games together. Extremely helpful since it can now be set up to run automatically in any new game editions (which is tremendously handy with Epic and its free games.)
Snow-Crash-42
Why is Epic “slightly worse”? What’s the difference in licensing terms compared to Steam?
Scaryassasin27
What’s the top one?
Tempires
To be fair Stadia refunded everyone who bought anything from them when most other launchers wouldn’t give anything. If you got your money back your only loss is time and experience
M1QN
GFN is wrong since it’s not a game launcher, you need to have the game somewhere else and have it supported by gfn, so it should be right under epic
VALTIELENTINE
The stadia ranking is a bit disingenuous.
I used stadia, bought a few games on it, played them. And then a few years later when it shut down I was a bit bummed until I got a full refund for all the games I purchased.
So I got to play all those games for free pretty much
MiningJack777
GFN is just fucking wrong. The statement applies to stadia, yes, but not GFN. In GFN you use the games you own, unlike stadia where you have to buy em separately
GERGamerBS
If it’s just about ownership epic is better than steam since a lot of the games have no drm.
PurpleDragonCorn
A bunch of steam games provide a CD key though, you just need to know where to look.
Not all, but quite a few.
CylixrDoesStuff
Im confused about geforcenow since its just games you already on steam/epic??

Even Riot don’t own riot games…

Stadia paid me back for everything. Except my monthly stadia pro membership. Of 10 dollars a month. When they shutdown
AlexGlezS
This is completely wrong. GoG might be up there, then all the rest you never know, tomorrow could change ToAs to something that’s crap, or tomorrow you may lose your access forever without any notice or warnings.
andimacg
I have 48 games in my EPIC library, I have paid for none of them.
Big-Cap4487
W stadia for refunding tho
bedwars_player
I vote to move Ubisoft to the “take it away” category
Seriously miss the crew

Gog doesn’t have regional prices,
as a South American, steam and epic wins for me then.

Then you have Hydra🥸

Hey now, at least Stadia refunded all purchases.
