System Performance Has Dropped Significantly

I’ve had my PC for a while, and it’s always performed well across all games. However, in the past few weeks, I’ve noticed a significant drop in performance. After reinstalling Windows and updating all drivers, I ran a 3DMark benchmark, and the results were alarming. My system scored 6842, while the average for my hardware is 13854—placing me in the lowest 1%.

  • Memory: 11GB GDDR6

  • Core Clock (Boost): 1740 MHz (Base: 1350 MHz)
  • Average Core Clock (Benchmark): 1430 MHz
  • Memory Clock: 1750 MHz

  • Average Temp: 74°C
  • Resizable BAR: Disabled
• CPU: Intel Core i9-9900K
  • Base Clock: 3.6 GHz
  • Boost Clock: 5.0 GHz
  • Average Clock (Benchmark): 4.7 GHz
  • Average Temp: 71°C
• Motherboard: ASUS ROG Maximus XI Hero (Wi-Fi)
• RAM: 16GB DDR4 2142 MHz

Benchmark Details:

• I ran the Time Spy benchmark multiple times, and each time, the results were consistently poor. Here’s a link to the benchmark comparison: 3DMark Results.

Observations:

Here are some of my observations:

• The framerate starts high but drops quickly—I'm unsure if this is normal.
• The GPU temperature peaks at 75°C, so I don’t think heat is the issue.
