David was fighting against his cyber psychosis. Smasher embraced his. Reminds me of the Bane quote ‘You merely adopted the darkness, I was raised by it, moulded by it’.
No one besides V is level to smasher
Let’s be honest, Smasher doesn’t make any sense, his plot armor is invincible till V appears with another plot armor, that’s It.
Equally summed up by an exchange during their fight.
D: “You have a Sandevistan?!”
AS: “A rudimentary implant.”
Smasher is borged out of his fucking mind, as of 2077 he’s 96% cybernetic. He’s been kicking ass and taking names (and probably people’s organs) for more than half of a fucking century.
Yeah, David was immensely powerful during their confrontation, but it’d be like giving a kid a gun versus a moving train. David never had a shot at killing him, only slowing him down. And, to his credit, Smasher *does* compliment David on the fight, saying that he had fun, which before V is probably the most challenged he ever felt.
Even with how ridiculous video game power levels can get, anime power levels are just nonsense. V can’t take out 50 tanks in half a second or bunny hop a car. It was all dramatic effect like anime loves to do. It’s not even remotely close to what cannon strengths are
The funny thing is Adam in the video game. So dumb how they have to give the fans everything they want but hey I get it it’s just a movie. In reality Adam would just crush a random like V.
The game does a bad job of showing his power vs what normal people are capable of. Realistically V should not even be able to come close to smashers level. No one alive should be able to.
And then he died to a Solo with a dildo.
