
Im starting to think that with my specific 370x and 64GB of hynix 3600c16 memory chipset interleaving was the cause of errors or at least induced a lot of instability.
2666mhz = 1 error in 4-6hours
3600mhz= 1 error in 2-6 hours
3800c20 = 1 error in about 1-3 hours
3800c16 = 1 error in 10minute to couple of hours
3800c16, trfc512 chipset interleaving off= ran atleast couple of times about 4to6 hours without an error in one sitting then rebooted ran another 4 hours after reboot without an error.
Now im running it again closing in 4 hours and no errors yet detected.
Ive seen absolutely zero people online talking abou interleaving causing instability whats with that?

Does xmp cause errors?
Most people don’t touch it/leave it auto. I’ve thought about benching the various sizes and the impact on performance but too lazy. If we had more data on that besides ten year old threads and discussions then it’s something that’d make it’s way into memory overclocking.
My theoretical answer is chipset interleaving makes more effective use of memory banks/activation, as a result it could be heating up the RAM more by touching the memory more uniformly and not waiting for a bank to reopen. Clearly need to read on more how RAM works.
