Finally got around to playing the main 4 non treyarch titles (exos, extinction, ww2 and IW) and enjoyed them for the most part, out of the dlc for the 4 games is there any actually worth purchasing and experiencing for the first time?
Controversial opinion but I enjoyed Rave in the Redwoods as a slasher fan. Radioactive thing has a cool concept, but if you don’t like unbelievably complex Easter eggs, I wouldn’t recommend it. Had to get a god damn degree in chemical science to complete it

All are worth it in my opinion, but the highlights are IW’s and WW2’s dlcs. Every map is great. My personal favorite out of all 8 (9?) dlcs is Frozen Dawn from WW2.
WrstScp
Can’t speak for Extinction, Exo, or WW2, but Infinite Warfares are definitely worth playing.
Rave is probably my favorite map from IW, it’s atmosphere is peak and the WW are fun, plus the final boss if fun to fight. The layouts probably the only downside in my opinion.
Shaolin is in my opinion a bit worse, but it’s still fun with the Kung fu shit you can do, the martial art zombies are annoying though. The final boss is a bit tricky to understand at first but I think it’s a fun challenge.
Attack of the Radioactive Thing is also a great map, it’s bright (too bright sometimes), the MAD is a fairly mid WW, but the vibe is really fun. I never tried this boss so can’t say.
Beast is the worst map in the game though. It’s still decent but it’s really overwhelming, but I think it works well as a final send off or final test, it brings the aliens from Extinction and special zombies from the previous maps, it definitely takes time to get used to though. Never tried the boss here either.
And to top it all off, if you do the super EE you get a new mode and you get to play as the main antagonist Willard Wyler.

All of IW for Directors Cut

I would say all of them with the exception of Exo zombies. Then again, I severely disliked the game, so take my opinion with a pinch of salt
Zombie_joseph1234
I’ll say yes give it a attempt see if you like it but don’t play extraction I think it sucks
Zayakami
i didn’t mind extinction personally and IW zombies was cool
Chicken769
Majority of the DLC in IW and WWII zombies maps are definitely worth playing
TimelordAlex
Exo Zombies Carrier and Descent are probably the only 2 that i like from this list but there far from perfect
Caitlins115
Most of IW and all of extinction yes, WWII the best it got was the final reich, and exo zombies was okay.
cita_naf
Extinction is FIRE. It unironically gets pretty crazy hard especially if you’re not going an optimal path on Exodus, holy guacamole those gargoyles hit hard.
McWolf7
All of the maps for Infinite Warfare Zombies in my opinion are super fun, even the last one, and all of Extinction is fun if you have a team to go through it with though I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re only singleplayer or a duo, trio+ is great for Extinction.
Alleged-human-69
I can’t really comment on extinction
Exo zombies is just painfully bland
Apparently ww2 goes down hill after launch but the smaller maps are fun.
Infinite warfare I actually played and these maps are actually worth while playing (excluding best from beyond but I’m probably not the best authority as I just cannot for the life of me plug Neil in without dying)
OffensiveKalm
Honestly ive got all map of AW and it is good, people didnt like it that much, i loved it. And the other maps for ww2 are absolutly insane, love em to death, like litteraly, round 32.
Brantopias
I say absolutely not, but it seems to be the minority opinion now.

Rave in the Redwoods and The Shadowed Throne are by far the two best non-Treyarch dlc maps in my opinion, Rave is much bigger and in depth and The Shadowed Throne is a lot smaller but still has a lot to do and has a more hardcore Easter egg

I say extinction was my fave to go to and some Exo Zombies, i cant say much bout IW only played a few times, but WWII is cool too actually not bad either was funn to probably only do the challenges for Characters in WWII, but liked Exo Zombies with all dlc and Extinction DLC i like the most
nivkj
infinite warfare is by far the best experience here. i’d argue it is better than some 3arc stuff here and there
Usual-Quantity-376
I had completely forgot that Infinity war has zombies.
Agitated-Wall534
I LOVE extinction and WW2 zombies. Haven’t played exo zombies since like, 2015 and always felt eh on it. I only ever had Spaceland in IW but always liked that and people seem to have a good option on IW zombies
AGoodman0322
I wish I had people to play the IW zombies with I’d love to beat those maps and I’ve thought about buying extinction just because it was cool back in the day
Illustrious_Issue477
Infinite warfares the only one
Hawthm_the_Coward
All of them except Infection. If you were okay with paying for Revelations and Tag, then you’ll be ecstatic with Rave and Dawn.

Nightfall is the best snow map CoD has ever made. Better than CotD. Better than Sub-Base.

So for me, my ranking is:
1.Movie theater/IW zombies
2.WW2 zombies
3.exo zombies

I enjoyed exo zombies and extinction, I’d recommend exotic more because hearing “THEYRE ATTACKING THE DRILL” 9 million times sucks
dreadstardread
Extinction and Exo Zombies were both great
MotoqueiroSelvagem
As someone who has played all of those considerably, both for Easter Eggs and casual play, I’ll give you my two cents:
If you’re a fan of BO3/BO4 and maybe enjoy some wacky stuff, IW is an absolute must. Though it has at least one massive stinker (Beast From Beyond sucks massive balls), the game has some amazing and extremely fun maps. One of the best COD zombies games to date.
Continuing on the same overall framework, but taking a more serious turn, if you’re into BO3/BO4 and want something darker and with some horror vibes, WW2 is mostly good, though it doesn’t really reach the same highs as IW. The Tortured Path sucks balls, however, but its survival maps can be fun.
AW is an interesting case, and I’d say feels much more in line with the earlier entries. If you’re into BO1 and BO2’s more casual, and less “Easter Egg centered” gameplay, plus the gimmicky and wacky shit from the maps of that era, you might wanna take a look at this game. AW’s Exo Zombies is much more simple than the other two, and though it absolutely is the objectively worst of the bunch, it doesn’t necessarily make it actually bad. Personally, I enjoy this game a lot, though it is very much flawed and has some very unfun mechanics. Playing this game is like watching a weird, dumb, trasher horror movie. Just turn off your brain and come in with low expectations, then you might have plenty of fun.
Ghosts’s Extinction is the weird one in the bunch, since it’s by far the most different in all regards, to the point where it’s almost impossible to compare. The game is objective based (though it’s BY FAR the best objective based “zombies-like” mode in Call of Duty history, since it’s actually extremely fun), and is much more strategy based than zombies, I’d say, since it’s basically a tower defense. For being so different, this community obviously doesn’t have a very well defined opinion in this game mode, but personally, it’s my favorite of this bunch. Be aware, the mode requires you to do some farming, has an IMMENSE difficulty curve from map to map, and offers a pretty different experience which is absolutely best experienced with friends. I recommend it, though I can’t say a zombies fan will necessarily enjoy it.
To answer your question, if you somehow have free access to those DLCs, then I’d just straight tell you to play everything, including the bad maps, to just experience them and make up your own mind by yourself. If you have to choose which to buy, however, I’d say you should consider which aligns more with your interests, and considering how diverse people’s reasons to play this mode can be, I can’t possibly accurately make a recommendation.
