translation: sorry lads but our ceo needs his super yatch while chasing stupid trends so we fired you

Not cashing in on enough micro transactions? Or too expensive to complete a game all the way before releasing it?

Is this indicative of anything? They have 21,000 employees and they let go of 45 people with severance packages and career help. Are we just enjoying the catharsis of being angry at a shitty company doing incremental layoffs?

Man that’s a lot. I hope they receive proper medical treatment.

    (But seriously though, that sucks.)

Hopefully they find work with a company that doesn’t suck

This is indicative of nothing… they have 21,000 employees. My heart goes out to my industry colleagues who lost their roles today, especially as someone who has gone through similar in recent months, but laying off 0.21% of your company is not newsworthy.

I hope they didn’t use Ubisoft Support Chat to deliver the termination packages.

Cancelled game = cancelled studio employment. Job cuts include Red Storm Entertainment… the folks who where working _Tom Clancy’s The Division – Heartland_ title.

Fuck Ubisoft! This company needs to die off already and this is coming from a use to be fanboy. They have fallen off so hard they are 2 years away from becoming Konami with their pachinko machines.

  11. … ok? This isn’t the gotcha you seem to think it is

So when are y’all gonna realize these companies are businesses?

Even better, where’s the outrage on reddit when they go on hiring sprees?
