   If her name is nyx you should name the kitty after one of Nyx’s children like Eris or Nemesis

   Since you’ve picked Nyx for the girl, what about Noctis for the cat?
   I can also suggest Umbra, if you don’t like them sharing the same meaning, as Noctis too means “night” but in Latin.
