While colours look better on OLED, IPS makes picture itself look way more thematically correct for Batman movie.

For me, the bottom one is too redish. Too much red. I prefer the top one. It’s easier to look at.

We know, OLED has better contrast than IPS. This is posted constantly in r/oled_gaming yet no one ever posts mini LED VA vs OLED….

What settings are you using on that monitor? It looks like the AW3423DWF and by default it uses a wide-gamut color mode, but for sRGB content (which is pretty much everything that’s not in HDR) it makes everything look oversaturated. For accurate colors in SDR you probably want to go into the monitors OSD and clamp it to sRGB

I honestly think a lot of the times, people just have their monitors incorrectly set up, the brightness setting is obviously way too high on the above monitor.
The blacks look pretty crushed to me on the OLED monitor, I cant see any detail in them at all, I wonder if thats just down to the quality of the video file being played though.

Bottom is crushing blacks. Neither of this is a “winner”. Also the glare is clearly much worse. This also doesn’t showcase the inevitable burn-in.

Wow, didn’t expect the IPS to be so much better.

OLED is in a league of its own

Poor choice to compare. Try VA miniled like Samsung neo g7 with contrast enchanted on.

I like the muted look of IPS screens.

It really should be Top vs. Bottom. I genuinely thought you were trying to show that the OLED was the top monitor and how shitty it was and perhaps this was some sort of technical support thread asking for help
