  1. Just in time for the MWR sale to end. Ughhhh, I thought Activision will be better after getting acquired by MS.

Actually fuck activision man. Like with SM2, the devs were stupid by saying nobody would need to buy it. With h2m, the devs were very clear that this is a mod for the legal version of mwr. This on paper is the same as plutonium, boiii, alterware etc. Yet they are still kicking. But since this actually gives something cool and new, activision actually sucks holy fuck

  3. More fucked up is that Activision knew about this project for a long time. They milked the sales and shut it down the day before launch.

  4. likeonions

They did it last minute to make sure they make money off people buying mwr for the mod.

  5. TheHudIsUp

Delusional if you think it was going to work lol

  6. actioncheese

That sucks but was easily predictable.

  7. Whoever’s within the two hour limit on Steam.

    Refund that shit, fuck activision!

  8. OverallImportance402

Fuck Activision for protecting their IP.

    grow up people

It’s a shame this isn’t going to go to court. It sounds like just a legitimate mod for the software, requiring the purchase of the base game to even play it. Activision appears to just be bullying people who can’t afford to fight back even if they are engaged in legal activity.

Color me surprised. I mean I had some hope that it would be left untouched, but I mean it’s not that surprising.

Another contribution to gaming by your friends at Microsoft.

Don’t forget that we let them buy Activision.

  12. EuphoricAnalCarrot

Saw this coming a mile away. If you guys really thought Activision was going to let this happen then I have a bridge to sell you.

  13. Strooble

Refund requested. Only reason I bought it was to play this. I recommend if you also bought it you get a refund if you can.

  14. nemanja694

This was obvious from a mile away, there was no way activision would let this release

  15. krysztal

    hehehehehehe heheheheheh heheheheheheh

Boy, do we live in a times

  16. sammyrobot2

Did you only needed MWR for this mod? If so its pretty clear why it was shut down

  17. I think this project is the one that finally will make everyone trying to touch anything CoD releated to cease everything they do. I know that there are multiple projects in development like WW2 client for example but I doubt it will make it out after this.

No one will touch modding CoDs anymore but whats worse is how every P2P CoD game on PC STILL have security issues while being sold. Just today there was someone going around doing RCE exploit in vanilla remastered on Steam lmao.

How the fuck are those games still on sale legally is beyond me. They lazily tried to fix RCE’s and other issues but 100 other exploits popped up shortly after and those games still have insane security issues while being sold.

I didn’t pick it up cause I knew this was coming. Really is too bad.

  19. AkariFBK

And now MWR’s playercount drops again because of this, fuck Activision man

  20. Activision will do anything to keep a modern version of the OG MW2 multiplayer from coming back. They’re scared Ittl hurt sales and it would

  21. Eleanorah-VII

Sad day for the fandom. But the devs of the mod used assets from MWR and MW2R and guessing the originals too. So I kinda expected this to happen.

I guess having people buy MWR on steam isn’t enough gain for AV. Community separation before the launch of BO6 loses them more potential money. The greed is so real..

I’m thinking once COD truly dies, you bet your ass they are going to remaster the MP of MW2R and everyone is going to buy it.. and AV wins yet again…

  22. Canadaian1546

After SM2 I gave up any kind of hope for these things.

  23. UnsettllingDwarf

Classic Activision. Seriously people stop buying their games.

  24. PrinnyFriend

Let COD die. Let someone else make a better version

  25. --_-__-___---_

did you really think activi$ion would let people enjoy a full multiplayer game for $20, with no fornite skins or batte passes?

  26. bollincrown

Review bombing time. Remember if you bought MW
to play the mod, leave a negative review

  27. Unfortunately I felt this was coming a mile away…. I hate it when this garbage happens…

  28. piciwens

A real shame, but I think it would be a game only for snipers and trick shotters

  29. KingHauler

Microsoft needs to step in. They can’t claim to be pro-modding while a major publisher/developer of theirs pulls this shit.

  30. ilovehackinmw3

i was thinking about buying mwr for this but good thing i was going to wait until release to buy it. F activision

  31. hushedgh0st

I didn’t find out about this until yesterday and was pumped for a weekend full of real pc cod. Rip.

  32. YoshiBoy39

Wait they are Re-Re-Remastering COD Modern Warfare?
And the actual Good Remaster was coming from real fans.
Activision wants only money so they can keep milking the dead Cow dang.

  33. PRSMesa182

People are really surprised activision defended their IP? Everyone who bought MWR and expected this to go live I also have a bridge to sell you…
