Hey there fellow zombie hunters,
It took some snooping around the CoD wiki for me to realize that the hellhounds in Modern Warfare Zombies are not the German Shepherds we’re used to since World at War, but rather Rottweilers – just like Sam’s new dog in Cold War, Notso.
Obviously this is on purpose – what do you think happened to Notso?
My guess is that Project Janus or Requiem sent Notso into the Dark Aether to try and find Sam, only to end up with hellhounds instead.
Interestingly, you can find Notso’s collar in the Dark Aether, which prompts the Entity (who we now know to be an alternate version twin of Ava) to say “We miss you, old friend…”
Maybe the Entity met Notso in the Dark Aether while it was looking for Samantha?

What I find interesting is that Notso’s hellhounds replaced Fluffy’s hellhounds and that this kind of explains why we can pet them. In CW, Zykov mentions he had a hellhound companion but couldn’t pet him because of the flames. Maybe these new one’s being not so fluffy makes it easier to pet them.
