This one's mine. The gig where you raid/klept something from the scavs and found out who they are supplying. Motherfucker, I bought like 4 implants from him…

Back Against The Wall. Hearing a gunshot after what I thought was a peaceful conversation made me tear up for a moment.

Sinnerman……just everything about that quest. The entirety was a microcosm of the despair, exploitation and brutality of the cesspit that is Night City.
Here we have a psychotic former killer trapped in his own delusions in a misguided attempt at redemption. And his psychosis leads him to use religion as an outlet to do so He believes he some new age Messianic figure – WHO WANTS TO BE CRUCIFIED.
His presence and choice of atonement torments the mother of his last victim. Where she is disgusted at the mockery of her religion, and also how this sham in some ways taint the memory bof her deceased son, as all of these present events tie to his death.
And the backdrop to all this……….is a Media Corporation ready to exploit this Mentally Ill man for PROFIT. Got him removed from Death Row to be executed on what was essentially Night City’s form of Pay-Per- View. Going to monetize and distribute it via Braindance to the masses- so they can FIRST HAND experience all the warped emotions and experiences of the Mentally Ill mans last moments. The citizens of NC were excited for the execution, and the Corp had It promoted like it was the damn Superbowl are something on radio and TV.How seedy and corrupt can an entity be?!!!
And Bros on here often ask which is the worst city, Night City or Gotham? Yeesh, Johnny actions where wrong, but the message was spot on- ” The forces of entropy has spiraled out of control”
And then the penultimate part of this quest…the killer experiences doubt, and the option of nailing the killer to the cross. And if you choose not to? A random crew member on hand WITHOUT hesitation hops to do it…smh
( Second most f’d up quest imo was in Phantom Liberty, where you investigate that Medical Clinic in Dogtown that were using CyberWare on children to turn them into athletes …..THE. YOU READ THE Emails/SHARDS/ and terminals. You see the bad effect it had on some of them. A 16 year old had kidney stones, and was ill because she didn’t make the program, was out of contract, and the Director cut her medication. The parents didn’t want money, just continued treatment because their daughter was suffering, Director refused. Really messed up)

For me recently, it was doing an NCPD hustle where you rescue sex trafficking victims from shipping container in Kabuki and then realizing they were recently dropped there for Jotaro’s crew. In the container was a shard of a conversation between what seemed like a teenage girl and her mom. I had so much more satisfaction doing Monster Hunt for Regina after witnessing that. Not all of the missions are linear, so it just so happened that I stumbled on them close together and the pieces clicked.

Prophets song, turns out that lunatic was right! And then hes been kidnapped..

There’s none that really made me go “damn I can’t believe that”
Lots of them that left me feeling like maybe Night City needed glassed though.
Obviously the countless XBDs and human trafficking contributed, but the side gig about the dude mourning his turtle was an unexpected surprise. Made the word seem less inherently evil and more like the real world, good people getting prayed on by the scum that we can’t quite escape from.

There’s a couple, but they’re not all the “Holy Shit” in the uncomfortable way.
Like there’s Prophet Song (Gary’s Quest) that does a fantastic bit of lore and world building and it’s a “holy shit. He’s actually kinda right.”
Then there’s Rivers Quest (iykyk) even though I’ve done 3 playthroughs, going through the videos make me feel so sick. Honestly more so than Sinnerman
I’d also say The Highwayman too.
