The season pass description of Nuketown Zombies says they’re radiation scientists that were already undead when CDC and CIA arrived together, but I like to say they’re CDC zombies so we can be 1 level above the CIA plebs.
I always thought that, but doesnt seem to be the case. Hazmat suits that CDC agents wear dont have any sign of being used for radioactive environment, unlike the hazmat suits from the zombies. It’s likely they were just workers (or maybe rescuers) who were at the site and then were turned into zombies
