I’ve been following them since I first tried the demo version. A simulator where I can enjoy a drink and unwind—perfect.

Despite being a business simulator game, it is EXTREMELY linear. Now only do you not really get to decide how stuff is placed and what you stock, BUT you have no agency on how fast your tavern progresses, as money and reputation is NOT how you upgrade your tavern, but rather a quest system that boils down to “Sell 30 steaks.” Complete that? Next quest: “Sell 30 Ale”. And then sometimes you just go a day without any customers buying the crap you need for your quests. The quest system ultimately ruined this game for me.

I spent nearly an hour in this game and it’s a great time. However, the fact that I can tell there’s a bunch of A I kinda bums me out. I know using A I for assets and such is easier, but it’s not a good look for future publishers. If the AI gets scrubbed from this game, I’ll gladly get it again, but for now, it’s going to be a refund. I do hope it changes so I can come back, because of how fun it is.
Edit: Ok, so I looked into it a bit and this game is VERY similar to Ale and Tale Tavern. Do NOT buy this game, instead look into the one I just mentioned.

I am refunding this. As someone else said, wait for Tale & Ale Tavern to come out. If that is trash then get this one, but otherwise this one isn’t spectacular. You can get the same itch this game scratches just playing the demo (I didn’t try the prologue.)
I wanted this to be good, but it just was mediocre at best.
