Absolutely. It’s a great series that can be a challenge to go back to now given the fairly archaic graphics and controls. A remaster would allow the charm and fun of the original game to really shine.

I want them to rerelease the PS2 games for PS2 but with progressive scan instead of interlaced so they aren’t a blurry mess on my LCD

Fuck yeah. I don’t have a PlayStation anymore but I’d love to play it on a friends console and I’d be even more delighted if they somehow made one for the Switch.

It looks so good still because of the style of graphics. The 3d models do move a little janky, but the music, voice acting, actually being a retro game that plays well, make is worth going back to. But there was a rerelease on ps3 of the trilogy and it was very true to form. I would say it doesn’t need one.

  5. OjamasOfTomorrow

Yes please and thank you to either or both

  6. RaggsDaleVan

I just got a PS3 and just replayed the og trilogy. I have not heard much good of 4, but will play it soon.

The trilogy still holds up and is a blast to play, but I would love a remake.

Yes, absolutely, fuck yeah, gimme-gimme now, other words of affirmation

I want Sony to do a big crossover platformer game with all of their characters like this. Astro Bot, Jak & Daxter, Knack, Rachet & Clank, and so forth. Just make it a big adventure game with all of them.

  9. Wide_Ganache_6322

Been Wondering why they haven’t done any since the PS3

  10. YourRandomHomie8748

Absolutely! A gem from my childhood, that I spent a bunch of hours playing and replaying. I actually played it recently again on an emulator, and it’s still pretty fun

Remaster. Sly Cooper 1 is so good but I think it would do well with some updated graphics.

  12. Yes! Sucker Punch is still a fantastic studio, they’re the same guys who made Ghost of Tsushima. They have the tools to make a great game.

Ratchet and Clank still cranks out very high-quality games, I wish Sly or Jak and Daxter would do the same.

  13. NetherReign

Oh 200% yes. One of the few games I actively did the time trials on.

Would love to have a remake where the 1st game had better hit box recognition like 2 and 3 did.

So many pointless deaths because a surface didn’t register as a viable ledge and you just slide right off like a cat sliding off the countertop.

  14. I recently replayed thru sly 2 (my favorite one) on psnow and it was still good

  15. LordkeybIade

I’d rather not I didn’t really like Sly Cooper with newer graphics when 4 came out

There’s just something charming about the original trilogy graphics and art style that I don’t feel like it can be replicated with modern graphics

  16. EthanEnglish_

I mean we got crash, spyro, and medieval, why not?

  17. procouchpotatohere

They just released a port for modern consoles iirc so if you want some momentum behind either one, go out and buy it.

  18. Jacksepticeyefan1545

Now, that’s a name I’ve not heard in a long time.

All jokes aside, I’d sell my soul for a Sly Cooper reboot😭

  20. GunnyStacker

    100%

I’m sad that Sucker Punch hasn’t held on to it the way Insomniac does for Ratchet and Clank.

  21. JamesJakes000

This is the one post I dont mind if OP is a marketing exec.

    Make it happen.

  22. QuincyReaper

    Yes.
Anything to get someone to complete the story. Sly needs to be found

  23. I’d love a reboot. This was my favorite series growing up and it makes me sad it was abandoned. Especially seeing how good ratchet and clank was on PS5

  24. TheSallesSpecies

simply yes and I wish sucker punch would remake, reboot or remaster it. But sadly the series has had no signs of being in sony’s interest.

  25. greensparten

Honestly no, BUT, if they do, def bring the mechanics up to speed

I feel like these games are looked at with some serious nostalgia glasses. I’ve never found them to be all that good. Its like how people want Naughty Dog to go back to making Jak and Daxter. No thanks. The games were ok for their time but by current standards I just don’t feel like any of them hold up. Ratchet and Clank is the only formula that still seems to work. I found Sly 4 kinda boring and simplistic. And the early ones again just suffer from being outdated now. If some random company wanted to take a shot and change up the formula significantly I might check it out if it got great reviews but to just have more of the same, I think its already a tired formula.

I would kill a Man for a Sly Cooper Series Reboot
