Two games. One will probably be a DBD type game I just hope the other is a single player game. Maybe something similar to aliens isolation
LemonGrenade334
Meh. This will probably be one of those dead by daylight clones like the Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Friday the 13th. They’re only fun for a few weeks. Pass
feicash
probably DbD copy like friday 13th or Texas Massacre
will die fast no doubt
TheSenileTomato
If it’s another DBD clone, it’s gonna flatline within weeks when streamers and YouTubers get their views and subsequently move on.
5xad0w
I’d rather have another The Thing game.
louiscools2005
I hope they don’t end up doing a dbd type game too. Wasn’t Halloween already a dbd DLC at one point?
YOURFRIEND2010
John Carpenter directs from his couch at home nowadays. I don’t think he even knows what a video game is.
Nintendo1964
The standard horror movie consists of an OP killer, and a dozen dingus kids surviving by pure luck. The story doesn’t translate to video games too well. Unless you *are* the killer, are you just hiding, and stunning the killer till the end? I mean, there aren’t hordes of *anything* to fight off from Halloween, so I’m interested to see what they do here to keep things fun… *for hours*.
Ok-Flow5292
Was literally discussing this with a friend and asking why we haven’t had a modern game adaptation of Halloween yet. This is amazing!
Kev2145
What I want is an alien isolation type game where you are trying to escape and Michael Meyers learns from your strategies
VSZ-0
Huh. Hopefully it’s good. Or single player at least
Xlleaf
In reply to a lot of these comments, hot take I guess, Texas Chainsaw Massacre is still fun as fuck, family or victim.
I can’t help but feel like a lot of the hate is “no shiny new thing every few months” like DBD.
Treshimek
As intimately involved as GRR Martin is to Elden Ring.
dkyguy1995
It’s going to make your house smell like cigarette smoke
Garis_Kumala
How many games based on iconic horror movies already came out and how many of them failed?
ApatheticApollo
My pitch would be a Hitman clone where you play as Michael in a series of open levels and there are targets you have to kill through a variety of methods without drawing too much attention to yourself.
PloppyTheSpaceship
Halloween as in the night of Halloween? They’re finally releasing a game where you get to be a sugar-addled 8 year old, dressing up and going door to door trying to get sweets?
BishopsBakery
Don’t take the epic bait to do it cheaply, this game deserves a chance to make a mark instead of being thrown into a pit of obscurity and released widely in a crappy state with no hype to build on
SpartanMase
John carpenter is having sex with the video game?!
A5m0d3u55
I just want a quality linear horror survival game. Something like clock tower would be awesome. I’m so tired of every game being large as an ocean and deep as a puddle.
xenophonthethird
I hope he’s doing the music. Not a joke.
MyStationIsAbandoned
If it’s another shitty Dead by Deadlight clone, no thanks.
The Friday 13th game was good, but the Texas Chainsaw and Evil Dead sucked ass. the Clowns one…literally no one is even talking about it.
edit: I think a single player story driven game could work. something like Telltale games where you play a character and survive. Maybe even play as Lori in the first movie you can make the same choices she did in the movie and basically just have the movie, but then you can try to save characters that died in the movie, have characters that survived die early on and get a bunch of different episodes
idk what other kinds of games they could really do with this.
WrongColorCollar
If you really wanna surprise folks, let us play as Michael.
I want the best for humanity and have no desire to commit real world violence.
LET US BE HIM
Toothless-In-Wapping
And how will this be fun?
WavesNVibrations
Can we please band together to petition against an asymmetric multiplayer game?
masonicone
Well if he’s doing the music chances are that part of it will be really good.
And I’ll admit I wouldn’t mind seeing an Escape from New York/LA game. Could make for a damn good stealth action sorta game.
GAP_Trixie
Can’t wait for the delisting Speedrun in a few years once it’s out.
