Black ops 6 will be a masterpiece (Black ops 1 enjoyer)

I mean, I was a really vocal critic of the games from BO4 to MWZ. And even I’m optimistic for once.
That should speak volumes about how well BO6 sold itself.

it’s not stop criticizing change, it’s that the criticisms are kind of bad for the most part. yes cold war is flawed, but when somebody yells how everything in cold war bad and everything bo3 good and treyarch should never change it makes me mad

I’m really excited for it!
The only thing I worry about is being able to see! I know the HUD is a hot topic, but I’d rather have a meh looking hud that’s functional for visibility.
Hoping the customization helps

This the cycle for literally every CoD ever.
>New game comes out: “THIS IS THE WORST COD OF ALL TIME! HERE IS X Y AND Z REASONS THAT WE TOTALLY HAVEN’T OVERUSED!”
>Two weeks later: “We were too harsh on last cod: here’s x y and z positives we totally haven’t overused.”
>Lastly, a few years down the line: “Ya know… (New) entry wasn’t so bad actually…”

It’s not “stop criticizing” it’s “stop posting the same fucking post every three goddamn minutes you morons”. I don’t think many people truly don’t want anyone to criticize the game, there are some points of critique I can understand being made, but when you look at the posts on this sub related to thoughts on BO6 and 99% of them are the same critique being posted over and over again like some kind of original new observation you just start to feel like there’s no way to please people as they’ll always find something, big or small, to jump on a hate bandwagon for and there’s no reason to take the community here seriously. Because it’s all just a bunch of circlejerking about how “old=good;new=bad” with little to no nuance or original observation to be seen. No insight to behold apart from the same shit you heard almost a decade ago in the lead up to and following the launch of BO3, which is now practically universally beloved, all talking about how this new game is somehow going to be the death of zombies because it isn’t a copy paste follow up to “X” old zombies title. And the flipside to that of course being the people who would bitch about a game being just “X” title 2.0, making it truly impossible to please large swaths of this community no matter what route is taken by Treyarch.
Personally I’m hopeful and excited about BO6, I really enjoyed Cold War and many of its new and refined systems which seem to be getting carried over and improved here, but even when I’m not especially excited for a title it still gets annoying as hell seeing the same shitty “why I’m concerned about “X” title” posts be 90% of the content this sub has to show anyone looking for information about an upcoming release.

Well you see it is both ok to be excited and it is also ok to be critical. Both of these are even more true since the last zombie experiences have been very lacking. People are more excited to FINALLY get a good game after so long, but also people are critical because the last few games have been misses.
I am personally in the camp of being more cautious and pessimistic just because I know gaming companies are PR experts and can make piles of hot garbage look like masterpieces.
But I also totally get why people are excited and eager to be out of this “drought”.
