In light of the recent closure news, shoutout to GameInformer in July 2020. As the world burned down around us, you assured us that our virtual worlds would be intact and ready to welcome us with open arms.
Going to miss it along with the many other gaming magazines that are now gone. 🙁

End of an era, for sure.

I have a box of old issues in my room, I will definitely save them.

I got my first subscription to GI as a birthday gift in 1994 and the last issue I got came in 2017. I’ve been reading GI for almost 28 years, and so it will be really sad to see it go.
Rest in peace GI.

A lot of things I enjoy with the internet and a lot of things like this here I don’t. I know it’s just a change of the times on how people consume entertainment but dam man. I miss physical collections of things I used to enjoy before digital age took it all away ..
Scary-Muppet
Remember the little demo discs? So good!

Did you set a turd on fire?

Rereading these old issues is the closest thing I’ll ever have to a time machine.
There’s a lot of talk about nostalgia in media these days. But I don’t think I’ve experienced anything to the degree of rereading my old gaming mags
