I held off purchasing it because of the lackluster reception, but just picked it up on sale.
I'm honestly having a good time with it. It's not RDR2 or anything, but it's solid. I'm a sucker for quick / cool traversal systems like Infamous.
Definitely worth checking out imo, especially on sale.

Glad to hear you’re enjoying it! Quick traversal systems are always a blast. Do you have a favorite aspect of the game so far?
I bought and 100%’d Atlas Fallen at launch. It’s better than you expected because it is, relatively, better now than it was at release. To Deck 13’s credit, they have continued to work on it. Atlas Fallen is still pretty mid, it’s still kind of a Game Pass game, buy it on sale for 20$ kind of game but it’s at least now worth the 20-ish hours you might spend playing it.
The newly recorded dialogue for the protagonist and their gauntlet is SO much better. The originals were so robotic and stilted I thought they were text-to-speech bots. The reason why people belabor the VA performance so much in an action RPG is because the campaign is only 15-20 hours long and so much of that time is spent talking to NPC’s, with the same basic cutscene. Over and over.
Like the original release would have been better if they completely excised all dialogue and almost every cutscene in the game. The Infamous-like environmental traversal (sand surfing) and DmC-like combat (specifically Ninja Theory’s game) are Atlas Fallen’s strengths.
I played the rework past the newly streamlined tutorial and to the first quest hub. It is clearly better but that’s all I’m playing for now, there’s other stuff to play.
By the first impression on screenshot, i thought it’s a Warframe.
