imagine a buy menu where you could buy any gun your side has access to instead of the objectively retarded loadout system introduced in csgo. objectively objective opinion objectively is objective. The 2015 csgo kiddies rejecting 1.6 with vitriol because they think they get to have the nostalgia ball and are tired of having to argue with 1.6’s (OBJECTIVE!!!!) status as the GOAT in the series.

You can still do it that way now and could in GO.
But imo it’s because it leads to always buying the same thing because it’s muscle memory.
With the nice pictures it makes you think a little more about your strat because you “see the weapon” and you don’t have raw numbers in your brain

Nah as someone who did play 1.6 the 1.6 buy menu sucks. Most pro players use weapon buy scripts so they can buy their weapons way faster. Csgo had a far better buy menu, I remember hating csgos menu for the longest time but after getting used to it, it’s far faster to full stack load outs than a weapon script

Some of you might not know but CS 1.6 had two different buy menus. One with pictures and other one was this one. I would just like an option in CS2 to use menu like this.

I also actually really liked the look and feel of 1.6
Not just nostalgia because I absolutely hated the weapon switching UI and mechanic in 1.6, you had to use a bind to switch smoothly. So that was terrible. But the buy menu was slick
Also we basically use this buy menu on custom servers and it feels as good
