It could be a good movie. But the game isn’t even out yet. What if the game is awful? Then do they want a movie tied to it?
The idea around the game sounds perfect for a movie too. Though it’s a bit crazy to jump to a movie adaptation when your game hasn’t even released yet.
If we can’t get Hickman’s “Pax Romana,” I guess this is next best. These dudes have like 30 video game adaptations in their stable though, wonder how far this actually gets.

I mean, does it need to be a Kingmakers movie? Just the general concept of time travel with modern tech back to medieval Europe seems generic enough to create your own interesting original story.

Probably they licensed it on the chance the game is a hit. I’m certain they won’t start production unless the game gets good sales.
They were like “OH great, lets make a movie BEFORE the game comes out, so that nobody can say its not following the story of the game!”
