Hopefully it’s not true, DZ was so refreshing after you got tried of competitive nature of the game . It was the best casual mode in CSGO.

As long as Valve does not give a statement I have still hope that DZ will return. Ne0kai is only a caster.

  2. Interesting-Season-8

It cost them the whole 1/20 of a crate to mentain…

  3. BaconOmelette123

What is Valve even prioritizing right now? They have been radio silent for a while now.

Hopefully it’s true. Imagine the outrage after getting only DZ after 6 months of waiting for something. 95%+ of the player base didn’t care about it and most of those who say that they really want to play it would quit after 5-10 matches after the novelty would wear off.

There are other *new* thigs to be prioritized such as the datamined pulse scripting system which would enable workshop mappers to easily create custom modes and practice tools like we had in CSGO.

  5. minecraftendermite

At least give us scripting support so there can be a community-made DZ.

  6. Valve just not updating CS2 at all is beyond hilarious now. I think it would benefit people greatly to remove themselves from the game for a bit.

But the game supposed to have millions of players online everyday?Oh wait just bots farming for cases.

It’s funny, because the limitation of source 1 made those maps to be “small” and with pyramid shape mostly, with source 2 they could revamp the mode a lot and turn it into a better game but I guess they have other important things to do…

  9. jonajon91

While I’d love to have Dangerzone back, it’s absolutely not the priority. There’s so much to work on with the game that’s more important.

nobody ever played that shit and now u pretend that u loved the mode

  11. tututuco

man i made the awful mistake to download csgo again and cs2 now is feeling even worse than before, how can they treat this game so bad man, what is their long term strategy? it just does not makes any sense

  12. I was amazed that my wife played Danger Zone even though she never touched CS.

  13. CountBumbaclaat

Why did no one play it if it was so good?

  14. Danger zone without working anticheat is an instant L since you get more people on one match..

there is 90% chance to be matched up with a cheater currently on competitive.. at least that’s my experience trying to get weekly drops.. game is also full of bugs.. forget about your danger zone for another 2 or more years before crucial fixes finally come.. We can’t say about anything that CS2 has that it’s perfect.. therefore past 12 months the pace of Valve working with this game has been abysmal..

  15. needledicklarry

I will be honest, I played it maybe twice? I always got the vibe that it was some bored Dev’s pet project and that no one really played it.

  16. Player numbers entirely aren’t enough for Valve to work on the game at all.

  17. THEzwerver

yeah I totally understand why, before cs2 danger zone was a literal laughing stock, people claiming how it was nothing more as a cash grab to bank on the battle royal hype and suddenly after the release of cs2 everyone claims to be a danger zone main as if they always were. this is just like arms race which I know for sure over 95% of you haven’t played in over a month, while bitching about it not being included on release.

  18. Freshy23

Ok but are player numbers high enough to fix competitive/premier?

  19. callmejaaggii

Well in our region we never got to play this. There were never enough players to land us a match.

  20. TheBestUserNameeEver

    Who is Ne0kai?

I hope they add it back too, it was a lot of fun. I remember the queues being surprisingly short even with its small community. They’re just really slow to add back everything..

  21. tuenbabz

I have never played DZ, so im not missing it. Hope they will keep fixing bugs.

  22. Mollelarssonq

Honestly they should just unlock all the assets for community made maps and modes, there was a lot of unique stuff to play around with, and it could still thrive as a community map only mode.

  23. W1ntermu7e

Still funny that Valve didn’t want this mode around the rise of BR. They added it way too late with almost 0 idea how to keep people in it

  24. CrustedAlien

I miss DZ. it was a breath of fresh air

  25. SoftDrinkReddit

Honestly, the only thing I hated about Dangerzone was the operation missions…..

    Usually, they were cancer

    Example

Rescuing a hostage when I finally did it took me ages to actually find a game with a hostage nearby

Got the hostage was killed nearly rage quit

Decided to respawn as close to the guy as possible see he’s still running chase after him with nothing on me

Fortunately, I came across a knife about 5 seconds before he got the rescue. I backstab him, grabbed the hostage and got the mission

Unrelated, but I remember 1 operation mission was get 40 Dulies kills In a single death match now if you didn’t do it first week you were probably screwed
