Lex is not a completely normal and innocent person, but I do have to feel bad because this is just such a case of a guy who has low self-esteem and isn’t conventionally super duper attractive who allowed himself to be manipulated by someone who HE felt was out of his league. If he had just had more respect for himself and dropped her at the very first sign of trouble or once her weird hello kitty personality kicked in, he could have avoided all of this, but subconsciously, he didn’t think he could do better than her until this all boiled over.
