I think it’s the length of the arms. They look longer than what they should be because of the shadow stretch. Lol

if you’ve ever looked at the “3rd person” mods, you’ll see why. the game wasnt built with any type of character perspective in mind outside of first person, period. you can max out all the ray tracing options until your GPU explodes. the city and everything in it will be reflected on any shiny surface gloriously. but no reflections will ever show your V. the perspective was built for gameplay and gameplay only. they paid absolutely no mind to the actual in game model, because it was never meant to be seen outside of curated circumstances.

Yeah, especially when moving or swinging a weapon. Try running or swinging a weapon moving only your arms and nothing else, it’s unnatural and borderline impossible.
The game was designed to be play in 1st person point of view, so the arms got proportionally stretch, and the neck got proportionally shorten to make the 1st person view look better and easier to animate.
You might wonder that why do other fps games dont have this problem ? Because other fps games are usually PvP, they all have this system where the 1st person animation is entire separate from the in-world model. And I guess because Cyberpunk is purely PvE and was designed so that you would never see your own model except in very few controlled and curated cutscenes, so at some point in development the devs decided that they dont wanna spend time implement that system.

With most weapons the arms don’t move also very stiff and look uncanny at times.

They should have just not given V a shadow because of how ridiculous it looks 😂

I love watching the shadow during the double jumps. I always imagine you run up on a gang of dudes who are trying to intimidate you and they just start double jumping like frogs while making full eye contact. Cyberpunk gangs are weird, I imagine there’s gotta be one like that. You walk down a dark alleyway and they just start double jumping and laughing.

I shudder to think what inhuman thoughts lie behind that
I don’t like player shadows in most first person games period. It looks so out of place in Cyberpunk especially.

Yeah the actual 3d model of V is jak as fuck for the sake of perspective i guess. You can see it when you aim with a pistol. The shadows show your shoulders pop WAAAAY out of socket

Shadow? you should see the bodies she/he leaves behind.
I want to disable it. more immersive without it for real
Pretty certain I’ve seen Muldur and Scully chase that through an abandoned water treatment plant.
