The 9600X is the most relevant for gamers out of the bunch.
The 9700X is just going to be made irrelevant by the 7800X3D at its price, and the 9900X and 9950X are just going to be productivity chips.
If the 9600X is a substantial improvement over the 7600X it actually might be relevant to builds depending on total build budget. If it isn’t, well, this whole lineup is uninteresting to gamers.

I’m really interested to see how the 9600X fares against the 7800X3D in gaming

any news on when they will launch x3d?
SynthesizedTime
waiting for x3d. hopefully not many people buy these so they release the x3d faster

Do I get it correctly from the charts that for example a 9700X draws less power than a 7600X, but delivers more performance (around 200 MHz)? Would a smaller power consumption also mean lower temperatures? I am asking because I am not happy with the fan speeds of my current 7600X and might switch to 9700X.

Initial price is always bs price. So $180 for 9600x after few months?

I’ll wait for X3D chips and new motherboards at firs (if there will be any), to upgrade from my 5800X3D if perf and cooling potential will be good on new ones
Savenfall
After 7600x temperature “safe” baseline of 95, I’m never buying CPU on launch. I encourage you to wait.

How much do the x3ds cost at launch vs the base chip?
erufuun
Still rocking my 5800X, looks like an ok time to upgrade, huh?

Prices seem pretty reasonable, me likely!
