Personally, I don’t mind it because I like the change on using different weapons instead of having the same starting pistol.

I’m not sure why people are surprised they’re bringing it back.

You have to remember that some people like the idea of starting with their weapon like me

It’s understandable that you prefer with a starting pistol I’m sick of that and prefer using a different weapon.

I like it since it has and it gives players to play different and not the same like in the older call duty zombie games.

Personally, I can’t wait to use the loadouts

I’m not a fan of loadouts (this doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy BOCW) , but I feel like there can be 2 ways to implement them so they can feel more “natural” to the mode:
    1. Make 2 separate modes: 1 called ‘Classic Survival’ or ‘Old School Survival’ (Pistol as starting weapon, no scorestreaks, just plain simple) and other called ‘Modern Survival’ including those. It will make everyone happy.

    2. Make it a reward after you beat the EE for each map!

I don’t mind loadouts, I mind that they’re engineered solely for camo grinding.

Loadouts have single handedly killed zombie gameplay. I can accept having a few options like bo4 and ww2, but any weapon kills the whole purpose of the game. Zombies is no longer a mode to play to have fun, but rather to grind camos. They might as well remove the box and wall weapons considering they will once again serve zero purpose.

Just make the M1911 pack into Mustang and sally and im happy
Hated what they did with m1911 in coldwar
I dont really like loadouts at all.
Prefer Starting with the weakest shit possible (WAW-BO3 m1911\MRS) and going up, step by step.

I feel any sort of out of game progression goes against the core of zombies. Even attachments(moreso weapon kits) and stuff I feel goes against the core of getting stronger over time, since things like rapid fire and fast mags, something that was once part of pack a punch, now were part of a progression system. Progression should be done *in game* not out of game. Loadouts give the player too much power too soon. While I dont feel the box is *comepletely* worthless with it, its worth is much less than before

I’m not thrilled with loadouts, I honestly think they were unnecessary and just ruin early round progression for me.

as someone who has an anti-cwz stance, if it’s going to be like the cold war loadout system and not like the bo4 loadout system then this is obviously a big dealbreaker for me trying this game outside of a free-trial period. you cannot make a good traditional cod zombies experience by allowing people to spawn in with any weapon they want. in order to facilitate that massive change, they have to change the entire progression arc of a match, meaning it will be just like cold war.

I understand that this gameplay is appealing to the newer generation of players however to me the new gameplay loop brought in by having loadouts is something I’m not a big fan of. When I think of cod zombies, i don’t want a warzone-style zombies experience, I just want the traditional series that has kept me playing for thousands of hours over more than a decade.

  8. DropTopAndRoll

    I couldn’t care less honestlyyyyy

In every zombie mode, I usually get the loadout I want anyways with enough time and points. Loadouts just gets rid of half of the work in my eyesssss

while imma still play it regardless of if it had loadouts or not I’d definitely prefer it didn’t. It did make camo grinding easier but the general flow of the matches felt the same because I’d only use the guns I spawned in with. I like starting with just a pistol and working up from there. Having a weak gun and slowly getting stronger throughout the match feels a lot better because there is more of a sense of progression there.

Honestly I hope they just bring back mustang and sally to make it worth bringing the 1911

I don’t really like the load out system because like somebody else said, it almost kills the point of the box and the wall weapons, that being said though we’re at a point where this is going to be the norm, if they were to revert it, casuals will complain that it’s too tedious to grind for camos, and if they keep it (which they are anyway) the more veteran players are going to lose interests more than if it weren’t the case and will of course, complain.

Doomed if you do Doomed if you don’t.

  12. BIG_MAC_WHOPPERS

Hopefully they improved on the system! And the points system too

  13. Zuwark94

Me personally I don’t care which way they do it, starter pistol or loadout. Loadouts let me choose a gun that I might wanna get leveled up quickly or get the camos done easier than trying to get it out of the box, and it also let’s me do weapon challenges, like in Cold War I would start with the M82 sniper and ONLY use that for the entire game. Plus loadouts brings custom blueprints for wall and box weapons, allowing you to at least have a gun with decent attachments you want i stead of what the game randomly gives you. Everyone has their own opinions but these are mine

As long as we can fully customise our guns instead of the 5 piece sets, or give us the upgrade option to unlock the rest of the slots.

I’d love to fight zombies with a gun that has 7-10 attachments. No matter how wild it gets.

  15. pizza_lover_234

Loadouts are cool only if its secondary. Let me use thumper on round 1. that shits hilarious

  16. Real-Raxo

    This sucks

my boomer brain(bo3 but still) doesnt like this, neither is the weird warzone armor drops that fly everywhere u kill something

  17. Mean_n_Green

I’m disappointed but not surprised. Same with the pay to win gobblegums. There should at least be a classic playlist, but that would mean fewer players being incentivized to buy gobblegums so it won’t happen. I’m genuinely sad how monetized zombies has become.

  18. KnowledgeIsSad

Not surprised but disappointed. It destroys the purpose of the mystery box and wall guns

  19. khai115_2

Personally I’m neutral on it. On one hand, I like spawning in with what I feel like using on that match. But on the other hand, the progression is a bit lost. Wall guns and Mystery box feel completely obsolete. I don’t mind either one since I find fun in both but I understand arguments coming from both sides.

  20. Alv4riuxo931

I actually like loadouts, I like being able to choose the weapon I want to play with instead of looking for 1 of the 4 useful weapons in the box

  21. RealLucasSchall

The thing about loadouts is, you can equip the worst pistol in the game and play like normal 🙂

  22. xcub1tor

I think that the load out system of cold war was fine, but maybe stop people from upgrading to yellow and limit it to purple? So that yellow guns can only be found in the box/dropped from Easter eggs etc.

So that if you want to invest the resources into your starter weapon it still can take you far, but for the strongest build (which is eventually the thing we always want to be, as powerful in a game that we can be) you need to roll the box. Maybe that would be fun

  23. I know I late, but to everyone saying that “it’s destroy the purpose of wall buy and the mystery box”, don’t forget that in bo3 the optimal strategy in most maps was use DeadWire in almost any weapon + the wonder weapon of the map, so nothing weally changed in that point.
