I can’t see any recommendations in that description. Only relevant products that were shown in the video.
So what’s the issue?
Foreign_Spinach_4400
Thats just the relevant products. Ie, the products listed/mentioned in the video. These arent reccomendations
Asleeper135
Well, they technically aren’t recomending you buy them. HUB is one of the lest likely channels to shill for Intel though. It’s just their default template for descriptions, and they probably just haven’t given it any thought.
AdLower5936
Channel- “We don’t recommend these”
Goobers- “why would they recommend these”
MainsailMainsail
“We can’t recommend them, but if you still *really want to buy them* here you go!”
compound-interest
They don’t recommend them but they don’t control your purchasing decisions. If you disagree and you still want to support them, you can use their affiliate link. What’s wrong with that? It’s not like an Intel CPU is an unethical product.

This is not very PC Master Race of you, you can’t possibly think that a video titled “We dont recommend these” to mean “we recommend these”. Literal mental gymnastics.
Cant_Meme_for_Jak
Affiliate links generate income, may as well provide them for people who won’t listen.
Rider2403
People will literally throw themselves off a cliff and blame NatGeo for showing drone footage of the grand canyon
robodestructor444
Intel fanboys during this entire fiasco have been so embarrassing. Imagine defending the company that is actively selling you defective products that you paid with your hard earned money and making it as hard as possible to RMA their products.
You yourself have a 13900k, you should know better.

They say “no”, but you are still free to do so, and they’ll also make a buck out of the Intel fanboys, so *STONKS*
Jarsyl-WTFtookmyname
Honestly, this is kind of a genius move. It is like Intel is paying them to write reviews that trash intel products.

I have no big problem with what Hardware Unboxed did here even if I wished they hadn’t included the affiliate links in this video’s description.
However I am 100% certain the most upvoted comment wouldn’t be defending this practice if this was an LTT video.
HUB is one of “the good guys” so he gets a lot of leniency.

People will be people and still not listen. Might as well make money from those idiots.
You’re really grasping at straws here to try something to be mad about.

It’s your fault if you’re stupid.
Alone-Rough-4099
oh no these youtubers want money! who would have thought?
ziyak7ce
Sure it’s for money, but who goes like “Oh here’s a blue bubbly text, and it’s asking me to spend a couple hundred bucks…humm sounds good, let’s go with the purchase”
thatwasfun23
Man if you read the title, watch the video, read the comments and STILL decide to buy Intel… That’s kinda totally 100% on you man.

There are terrible things happening in the world right now I don’t think anyone should waste brain power on this inconsequential issue. This hurts no one and pointing it out doesn’t make anything better…
GodFromMachine
Well we don’t recommentd them, but if you’re hell-bent on wasting your money, we might as well take a cut.

My i9 14th gen Intel processor failed(had already purchased before all of this stuff was blowing up). I’m getting a new one through warranty. Is there any potential for it to harm any of the other components of my pc before I install a new one? Or would a failed processor again just mean I need to replace it…again?

It’s affiliate links, how do you smooth brains think these people make money?
jieah
Relevant =/= Reccomended. It just means they are mentioned in the video. Reading comprehension.
RainExtension9497
It’s kind of a goofy proclamation anyway. I feel like this has already been ongoing for a while now. It’s been weeks at least since the GN confirmation. Why say anything at all at this point?
liaminwales
Why is there always people going after HUB?
They where one of the first to call the alarm on intel, then people make posts to try to discredit them.
Is it because there not American?

Should’ve posted this on r/stupid OP, you thought we’d ride your hate train lol
KingGorillaKong
They aren’t recommending them. They clearly state they do not recommend you buy them. But people will buy them anyways. And at least if they buy the part through the link there, Hardware Unbox gets a commission of the sale or however those affiliate programs work for sending Amazon or whoever the sale. It helps to fund their channel.
SignalButterscotch73
We won’t recommend them but if you’re stupid enough, use our affiliate links so we can profit from your stupidity.

If they hadn’t linked them, there would be a different thread in here screaming about how they’re AMD biased.
