My System:

Ryzen 5 5600 CPU
32 GB DDR4 CL18 @3600 MT/s Corsair RAM
AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT 16 GB GPU

As you can see in the photo the CPU usage is continuous at 100 % – but only at 41 watt – while the GPU is only 75 % in use.

Fresh Windows install, newest drivers installed, newest stable BIOS is running.

I compared my processor with other players on YouTube, there people get 50% CPU load on average with a 7600 non XT GPU or an even weaker RX 6600.

What is wrong here? I would appreciate any help! 🙂

  1. Check config, maybe you have to high `RendererWorkerCount`. It should be 6 or 5 for that CPU.

    Yeah, I’ve had an i7 8700k oc to 4.7, and I had 100% usage.
    Now I have 5600g, and it’s 100% usage
My brother has a 5600, and it’s also at 100% sometimes.

If you’re playing 1080p warzone its very CPU hungry.

    What is your screen resolution?
Because higher resolution decreases CPU load.
Try to set it to 110% or go to dynamic resolution<Amd fidelity CAS and use that option. This makes the game render a higher resolution internally and also makes the game look better.
I have an i5 12400f six-core CPU, and i have load of 85-90% at 1440p. But this is common on BR games because of the number of players that have a high impact on the CPU
In PUBG i have the same issue, but in both games my GPU has 99% load.
Let me know if it worked for you.

This is a problem I have run into in warzone since the original warzone. It is the only game I play that does this. There is something about their code that causes extremely high utilization of CPU. It’s exaggerated at 1080p but even at 1440p it’s ever present for me. The problem was especially bad on my 5600x. It improved slightly with an upgrade to 5800x3D.

I mean let’s be real here. Your Ryzen 5 5600 is a slow CPU. Your AMD RX 7600 XT is a slow GPU. You also have pretty slow 3600 DDR4 memory, CL18 is awfully slow. Your GPU probably could be pushing around 150 fps at 1080p all low with variable rate shading, but your CPU and RAM are a huge bottleneck, that CPU was released like 4 years ago and it was on the slow side even when released.

CPU being at 100% usage is a good thing, it means it is fully utilizing your slow CPU.

Also this game engine streams a ton of data through RAM and the memory controller. Your RAM has slow timings, so that is also a bottleneck.

You seem to be getting around 100fps, which is normal for that CPU.

If you’re on windows 11, do this though: [https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/options-to-optimize-gaming-performance-in-windows-11-a255f612-2949-4373-a566-ff6f3f474613](https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/options-to-optimize-gaming-performance-in-windows-11-a255f612-2949-4373-a566-ff6f3f474613)

Welcome to an Activision game, where a multi-dollar company doesn’t know how to properly optimize their game.
