The 4080S has 16GB so I really don’t think they care. It should probably come with 16 but it’s not going to lol. You’ll have to buy a 5070/80 for that. I assume the 5090 will probably have 32GB which is great, but I don’t see the low or entry level cards matching that energy at all. 32GB might even be too optimistic.
12GB would be logical for the 5060 but then how are they going to upsell a 5060ti to anyone? Nvidia’s main weakness on new releases is VRAM and it’ll probably continue to be VRAM because people will still buy a 5090 with 24GB VRAM tbh.
I just hope AMD actually releases a high end card with 28-32GB because it’s pretty much what people wanted out of a 4090. 24GB wasn’t anything to sneeze at, but it’s a little disappointing imo.
I don’t even want to see Titan leaks because it’s going to piss me off. And on top of that, Intel is a generation behind.

There’s little competition from AMD RDNA4 according to rumors. Nvidia is going to stagnate the whole product stack now. People thinking the 50 series is going to offer significantly better value than what happened with the 40 series are in for a surprise

I remembee the 1060 being 3G and 6G depending if you had the good or bad one, the 2060/1660 were 6G and I was still using my 1660 at 1080p fine in my main computer, I’m not sure you would need more than 8G for 1080p even these days.
Now I’m not saying they could do better, and the 40 series bus width reduction and cache shenanigan + the hyper reliance on DLSS to achieve acceptable performance for the price is part of the reasons I went for an AMD 6000 card, and it feels like it keeps getting worse on nvidia’s side, hopefully intel can do something about it with battlemage and give us more than once choice for what GPU to buy.
