Ezio cosplay ruined this beautiful shot.

The biggest game changing update for me is playing this at 60FPS on XSX. Made me go back to the beginning and start at AC1, which also looks and runs better than I ever imagined too.

I remember being shocked back in the day by the dynamic sunrises and sunsets

    First AC game since 4 I 100%, it’s amazing

Amazing setting, but man the combat was clunky.

And sadly this was the beginning of the end for Assassin’s Creed imo. Modern AC isn’t about assassins or their creed. They even abandoned the white hooded outfits. Bastardized the series into something unrecognizable.

Is there a way to play assassin’s creed just to wander around the environments?

  9. I found the game absolutely boring, but the Egyptian setting was pretty awesome. In some ways a perfect podcast game, I could appreciate how pretty it was and ignore everything else

I just wish they didn’t puss out and did the Old Kingdom, instead of mostly Greek and Roman influenced. An actual Egypt Egypt, not Assassin’s Creed Odyssey v0.5, before releasing the big v1.0 a year or two later.

I was never able to get into this game personally, played maybe 4 hours and it just did not hook me so I never went back.

Those little moments where things like Joseph’s cloak would appear in the wind and fade away or the burning bush, idk why but those tiny details really knocked it out of the park for me

Had the same draw with the 60FPS update, brought me back to the AC roots. The landscapes? Unreal

I’m playing it rn, about 25 hours in. The setting is really cool but the game overall is pretty meh. The combat feels weird, the quests are mostly boring and the story has a good premise but it doesn’t really do anything with it, at least so far. It just seems like a super generic open world RPG with AC parkour slapped onto it and a cool setting. A very average game imo.

It is really awesome and I like Odyssey as well map-wise, but so much potential has been thrown away with both of them.
They could’ve included some interesting, unique location/monument-based puzzles, overall activities or something more than just going through copy-paste catacombs filled with snakes.

  16. To bad the gameplay is terrible, just like most modern AC games

  17. This became my favorite Assassins Creed game, they did a great job re-inventing the franchise with it and made a game where everything clicked so well together. Loved the story, the side quests, the characters and just spending time in that world – it’s the only AC game I 100%. So good 👌🏼

Now remember, while trying to stealthfully fit-in in the desert, always wear your bright white winter outfit w/ hoodie

Just started 2nd playthrough myself, any visual mods you are using or can recommend?

I didn’t like the setting, I was so bored by Egypt.

Last ac game I played. Would have loved to play the other ones but don’t need the massive worlds. Really a shame because the art team is always killing it

I can’t get myself to play it, I’ve been playing assassin’s creed since the first one thanks to my big brother, bought every single one since then, and loved every single game, but man the new change with this rpg mode just threw me off, i just don’t get it, it’s like taking The last of us and making it rpg, it was a nice story game, with already big open world, less challenges or boss fight but man now it’s completely crazy, downloaded origins did a bit of story and randomly on the map found a giant fucking Elden ring boss wtf is even that, gods were in the game before but represented in a more godly way, not fighting them with a fire sword, with mirage they said things where getting more simple again, and I liked it actually, but why can he fucking teleport I still don’t get it
