    that wallpaper is beautiful honestly

It happened to one of my 4 PCs.

Normally I set a solid black background.

Funnily enough it was the only PC with portrait mode monitors so the images were stretched to the point of massive pixellation.

This one. And this f*d icon I didn’t ask for (I thought it was a virus that got saved to my desktop somewhat). M$ has broken the configuration of my computer by remote control again.

I changed the background to a solid color and luckily it disappeared. I use Wallpaper Engine anyway.

Spotlight was probably updated and did its thing.

People said I was schizo for saying Edge or Power Plans like to change on their own…

windows enabled some idiotic fucking spotlight thing that will freeze your game for 5 whole seconds every whatever minutes

This happened to me. I had a wallpaper I really loved a nsfw image of my furry waifu krystal and since it’s been my wallpaper for a very long time. I don’t know where the origional image is anymore so ive lost my fav wallpaper.

It’s just trying to represent its current business model..

Road to nowhere surrounded by a sea of sadness

They did the same and also changed several random settings like my power management settings. This was windows 11

It’s their pc not yours, you just don’t know it yet.

After some updates Windows needs to reapply some setting such as the wallpaper.

If the original image was moved to a different folder or removed after you set it and before the update Windows may be unable to locate it and so sets one for you.

Switched mine to a black screen after the windows 11 update went in and set it back. Hasn’t changed since. Think it has something to do with the new updates

Who df cares just change it back. It’s not that hard

They did the same thing to me, so I just got an Elden Ring wallpaper, never happier.

It’s windows spotlight. It’s caused by a store update, not a windows update.

Turned my pc on the other day, and all my icons were spread out in a more open grid. Nobody has been on my pc for it to do that, windows being windows(11)

Its microsoft’s way of telling you “you dont own anything”

Changing a setting without your permission or desire to do so… they’re just giving you a taste of Win11.

I tought my younger bro’s pc got hacked.

  22. mr-pwnter

Microsoft is just showing who is in control..

They installed Copilot and pinned that shit to my taskbar yesterday. If I didn’t need certain Windows-only apps for work I wouldn’t have this malware installed on any of my personal computers any more.

  24. Yeah we had that at work when we updated a bunch of W10 machines. Just disable Spotlight again.
