I’ve absolutely been reserving judgment. I haven’t even followed games this year the way I used to. But this short clip is truly one of the single worst showcases of an upcoming game I’ve ever seen. Nothing about this clip looks like part of a release with enjoyable gameplay.

Trying to work out if this is passive aggressive from the reviewer making the game look as shit as possible, or if it’s just a horrible attempt to showcase the game.
Like, if I was reviewing a game with video, I’d want it to look slick, I’d want it to look like I was playing the game as intended and with an amount of skill and maybe a bit of flair why not. This looks like he’s handed his gamepad to a random and not told them how to play.
Genuinely baffled by the state of it.

Seeing that the game is made by the same people who made The Division games IDK why the hell they didn’t make the movement and combat work similar to that game. This just seems super jank and the AI behavior looks terrible as well.

Holy shit, wtf did I just watch. But this is why you can never trust IGN, they dare criticize anything too deeply and you think they’ll get early access next time? Of course not. It’s what we call in my country, ‘cash for comment’, where the cash can be actual literal cash, but can include favours, special access, etc, etc. All influencing one’s opinion into an ‘opinion’. IGN are effectively just a mouthpiece at this point.
