Looks like a “port saver” or a short extender for when the port is recessed somewhere that’s hard to get to in e.g. a rack of equipment.
It’s definitely not a 90 degree adapter.
AdLower5936
It is 90 degrees of my vertical axis.

“Dearest, most valued, customer. We are contacting you to inform you that we will need you to pay us an additional money. The adapter you received was an 180 degree adapter, and you paid only for 90 degree. As we not accept refundings, you must pay within date of time. Thank you for our understanding in this manner.” -Company CEOEO

They sent you a DisplayPort extender instead. They’re actually very useful for preventing excessive wear and tear to the input DisplayPort of your device if you happen to unplug your cables a lot (eg. You have a display that you move around and take with you a lot due to traveling or what have you). They’re also handy in instances where the DisplayPort input is recessed quite a bit, allowing you to bring the port further out for easier plugging / unplugging of cables.
msgkar03
did you get this from AliExpress?
HashKing
Thatās a 360° adapter
TriiiKill
It’s a DisplayPort adapter, just not 90 degrees.
Sea-Debate-3725
It’s for displayport cables with bulky connectors. They don’t always fit into some cases. This is a cheap way to fix that issue instead of buying a new cable.

There’s a lot of people here that need to relearn their maths. 90° would be too one for or the other, this would be a 180°, 270° would be too the opposite side of the first (still right angle), and a 360° would be a port in the same direction as it comes in. Woof ya’ll.
JezzaWalker
I like how it includes a keychain loop so you can take this incredibly useful adapter with you everywhere
