it is a popular mouse. there are 3rd party sellers you can easily find online.
also most if not all of the rechargeable Li-ion batteries are glued in a device, so nothing shocking there
It makes sense that they used double sided tape with a mouse called “superlight”.
Double sided tape to hold in a battery is a good way to reduce weight compared to using plastic brackets and screws.
You should have paid up on your subscription.
The double sided tape thing is probably not an issue when you’re not launching your mouse off of a desk.
Most lithium batteries are attached with double sided tape.

So what exactly do you think they are going to mount it with? Dropping a mouse has consequences. The good thing is, if everything else still works, you can put some new double-sided tape on it and go. Get some good 3M or Gorilla high strength and it will help keep it in place, until you drop it again.
Honestly OP check on amazon or ebay, there’s 3rd party replacement sliders for everything available, I’ve replaced mine a few times.
Batteries in $1500 iPhones are held in with double sided tape. This is normal.

I love my super light 1. Haven’t had any problems.
what I don’t get is why someone would pay $150 for a mouse. Mine was $30 Canadian and works just great with adjustable dpi and high polling rate

This is why I prefer, Corded, $59 mice. (Wait… I might have paid near $79 for my last really good mouse, it’s been YEARS though.)

I don’t get the appeal of these super light mice, I tried messing with one and it felt like a cheap dollar tree product.
I have a g502 hero and I use it with all the weights in, I really enjoy it! I don’t play with high dpi, but I don’t get it… Wouldn’t you want a heavier mouse so you can more accurate? If it’s super light and super smooth wouldn’t it be too slippery and harder to aim esp with a super high dpi? Im an former competitive osu player who has used both mouse and tablet so I guess I’m confused 😅
Everyone has preferences and that’s okay! I’m just curious about others opinions and trying to understand better! (Though the mice with open holes/honeycomb holes… The dead skin and dirt 🤮)
Bro, they tape *laptops* together these days. Seriously, to make the screens super thin, the upper clamshell with the screen is often held together with adhesives and no fasteners at all. They’re a monstrous pain to repair, and these are devices *designed* to be repairable. It’s not unusual to hold down a lithium battery with tape or a drop of hot glue. It’s a lot cheaper than any other method of holding the battery in place, and it works under normal circumstances. You can’t expect a mouse to suffer zero consequences after dropping it off a desk. That’s not a reasonable expectation. Be glad it’s a $0.25 fix, your mouse didn’t suffer fatal damage, and the only hassle is having to buy new sliders for the base, which you can find on Amazon. You could just as easily have had to purchase a new mouse entirely.
What did you expect? A stainless steel housing for your Superlight mouse battery?

If the message hasn’t come across yet of fucking course they used double sided tape. The mouse YOU paid for was designed to be as lightweight as possible.
